08/08 - Week 3 of flower and flowers are getting fatter. I learned from my mistakes from over defoliating which I see as a key learning curve and I will remember this for my future grows. Our Zamnesia Slurricane has reached 16 buds. I'm growing them a little more to make sure they don't go into flowering with small brunches but we're almost there, a few days and they'll go into flowering. She's a plant with a low internodal distance, they're not the most suitable for topping due to the slow response of the mini brunches but you just need to let them grow a little and not go into flowering straight away to get an excellent result anyway. As a general rule but very general plants with a low internodal distance are less suitable for the application of the techniques unlike plants with a wide internodal distance which are very easy to handle, they grow more slowly and can reach excellent dimensions even if worked with techniques that keep them low. The Topping worked very very well the plant at the moment of topping went into overfertilization due to the evident slowdown in growth, so I slowed down the fertilizer for growth but it was about to go into crisis, so we're starting to give fertilizer again. When topping is a delicate moment it is probably better to do what I explain below. The ideal when topping is probably to start with a soil fertilized with gradual release or to start preparing the soil for a period that is at least enough for the vegetative phase at most by adding a bit of alga grow which alone I must admit gives me some problems at least in this case if the plant grows straight much less indeed nothing. She is absolutely loving the balcony life, but after the recent battles indoors, I had to make some tactical moves this week to keep her safe and thriving. 📈 The Details / Progress Report: Preventative Warfare: After dealing with that brutal thrips infestation inside the tent, I am taking absolutely zero chances out here! I had to bring out the neem oil and give her a thorough foliar spray just in case. I definitely don't want what happened to the indoor girls to happen to this massive bush. You can actually see the fresh oil and water droplets resting on the lush green foliage in the close-up shots! 💦🌿 Opening Her Up: To go hand-in-hand with the pest prevention, I got in there and did some much-needed defoliation. She was getting incredibly dense, so taking off some of those larger, light-blocking fan leaves really helped open her up a bit. It drastically improves the airflow through the center of the plant and makes sure the neem spray can actually penetrate the whole canopy. ✂️🌬️ Vibrant Health: She took the pruning and the spray perfectly. As you can see from the overhead shots, the leaves are rocking that deep, rich, leathery green, and the structure is looking incredibly strong. Perfect strain. 5 gelato's grew in 3gal pot. The ones that been lst took a week to 3 week more than the ones that grew naturally. #4 did lst given 47dry g. #2 grew naturally and give 40 dry g. Overall 204 dry g out of 5 gelato's.

8/21, 8/22 TOASTED TOFFY WAS TREATED WITH PLANT DOCTOR ON THE 22nd. It's been a few days of rainy dreary weather. This morning I went over and did some MORE defoliation on the toasted toffy trying to get all infected leaves off. I then used the rest of the k bicarb on the gmo in the middle. I haven't seen hardly any pm. So that seems to be working. However I don't want septoria to spread through my garden either. Hopfully the plant doctor will take care of the problem. If not I'll get something different. I can make a diy Dr. Zymes or I could just go to the store and buy something specific like trichodermia. The weather has been a fungus nirvana. The conditions couldn't have been anymore perfect for mold development. I'm super impressed with the k bicarb treating the pm. I took tons of pictures yesterday but I've been sick and couldn't upload them. I still need to sanitize and put my supports up. I'll keep this updated with what I'm doing. UPDATE: AFTER UNCKES FUNERAL I WATERED THE SHERB PIE THAT I DIDNT LAST TIME AND THEN I FED. I DIDNT FEED THE TOASTED TOFFY DUE TO IT BEING TREATED WITH PLANT DOCTOR. I noticed some septoria on the toasted toffy climbing a bottom branch. But it is time to reapply plant doctor. I saw a couple spots on the event horizon and I treated it today with 1/4 gallon of 2tsp per gallon plant doctor. I sprayed the leaves then I used the rest on the soil. The k bicarb is still keeping any pm at bay. I haven't seen a spot. I hope the plant doctor helps the event hotlrizon. I'm not even sure if it has it but I want to be cautious. I'm thinking of treating them all with plant doctor. I'm also going to use beastie bloom on some of the more advanced plants. I wasn't expecting it to rain but it wasn't for at least a couple hours after I sprayed. I ran another support line across the cage. I need to lst both event horizons and defoliate the sherb pie. It's weird but it seems like EVERY day I go over the flowers are bigger! I see birds darting out when I approach. Maybe that's why i haven't been finding pillars. I found ONE hairy one this week trying to escape to the soil on a string. I got him though. We'll see how it goes. If not I have other options for treatments if needed. That plant in the 10 is HUGE. Seit 4 Tagen nun endlich befinden sich meine 3 Ladys in der Blüte. Schon nach 2 Tagen haben sie einen ordentlichen Stretch hingelegt. Leider bilden sie immer noch Zahlreiche Seitentriebedann aus, ich war auch schon kurz davor diese wegzuschneiden, doch ich befürchte sie könnten dann zwittern. Allerhöchstens entlauben kommt für mich jetzt noch in Frage, um die Qualität der Ernte nicht zu gefährden. Da nehme ich lieber weniger g in Kauf 👌

Die Pflanzen sind nun mitten in Blütewoche 3 und zeigen eine sehr stabile Entwicklung. Der Stretch neigt sich dem Ende zu, die Struktur hat sich gefestigt und die ersten deutlichen Blütenansätze sind sichtbar. Die Triebe richten sich gleichmäßig zum Licht aus, das Netz hält die Form optimal und sorgt für eine ausgeglichene Lichtverteilung im gesamten Canopy. Durch die unfreiwillige Umstellung auf ein semi-hydroponisches System läuft das Setup jetzt mit konstanter Wasserzirkulation. Eine Pumpe wurde hinzugefügt, um den Sauerstoffgehalt im Nährmedium zu erhöhen und Stauwasser zu vermeiden. Das System arbeitet zuverlässig, und die Pflanzen profitieren deutlich – die Wurzeln wirken vital, hell und aktiv. Die Düngung wurde auf 6 ml/l Canna Coco A + B angehoben.
