Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. Another week of things going well! I dialed in my automated watering system by sealing the port where the 1/2in tube connects with the output outlet with an FDA approved silicone gel. Wanted to get the FDA sealant since anything else would leak chemicals into the watering reservoir. Tested and no leaks detected! I also found out that there are these sweet quick connectors you can get from Amazon. The nice thing about this is that it makes my watering system modular. I can disconnect the tube feeding into the tent by pushing the quick connect tab and addressing the bucket without dealing with tedious connects and disconnects. All I need to do when I’m ready to reconnect the bucket, I just push the line from the bucket into the quick connector. Additionally, I started using .25 ml (25%) of compost tea along with .25ml (25%) of silica. I think I will need to up the dose next week to 50% strength for both. I will do a transfer to the 1 gal pot in 2 weeks!

Day 70: She now starts to develop her buds. Ill keep the feed constant and let her dry out a bit between waterings. Day 74: She developed some brown spots. Flushed and gave her a new feed. Dont now whats going on here. Hopefully it stops and don't progress further.

10/5/19 Day 43. Removed a few fan leaves and lowered the height of the lamp to flowering distance. The plant is just starting to show pistals. No feed today. Think all is good. 11/5/19 Day 44. Fed 1.5L. 3.0ml/L coco A and 3.0ml coco B, 1.0ml silicon, 0.5ml cal mag, 1.5ml boost. Ph 6.0 Ec2.1 run off 0.4L ph 6.4 ec 2.3 So far so good really, if anyone thinks I'm doing anything wrong then give me a shout. 12/5/19 Fed 2L. 3.5ml/L coco A and 3.5ml coco B, 1ml silicon, 0.5ml cal mag, 1.5ml boost. Ph5.9 Ec2.5 run off 1.5L Ph 6.3 Ec2.3 13/5/19 Day 46 fed 1L. 3.0ml/L coco a and b, 1ml silicon, 0.5ml cal mag, 1.5ml boost. Ph6.0 Ec2.3. run off 0.5L Ph6.4 Ec 2.5 Going to start reducing Coco a and b, then adding Pk9/18 soon. 14/5/19 Day 47. No feed today, just did a little more LST and leaf tucking. Think that's it for the LST. May release all the clamps in next few days and drop my net on it. 15/5/19 Day 48. Decided to release the plant from the LST, I have managed to get the hole canopy level with a cig box, so with it hopefully flower any day now it can stretch evenly (touch wood). Also removes a load of fan leaves. Fed 2L. 2.5ml/L coco A&B, 1ml silicon, 1ml cal mag, 1.5ml boost. Ph6.0 Ec2.1 Run off 0.7L Ph6.4 Ec2.9. yikes that's a big jump for my run off on the Ec. So fed again but 1L and changed A&B from 2.5ml/L to 2.0ml/L. Final Ph6.0 Ec1.9 Run off 0.6L Ph 6.3 Ec2.5 Going to try and get the run off down a bit more 2mo. Looks like I might have to feed once a day from this point onwards. 16/5/19 Day 49. Week hasn't gone as expected, I thought pistils would be showing by now. I am going to leave it released from the LST for a while and apply when it starts to get uneven again. I do think I have got the canopy quite even. Fed 2L. 2ml/L coco A&B, 1ml silicon, 0.25ml cal mag, 1.5ml boost. Ph 5.9 Ec 1.6 Run off 1.4 L Ph 6.3 Ec 2.6. This is quite high which I think is caused by my boosting agent. I might ditch sumo boost and try something else.

Buds getting big. Very good sweet smell. Remembers a little bit the Radical Juice smell.

Very enjoyable grow, awesome cultivar, this is what I work for, my nuggets have been grown with love and dedication and the final result is a a plant that has been very thankful and she has provided me amazing sticky flower with those red hairs that I love so much, very strong cerebral buzz, sativa high definitely, makes me remember a lot sour diesel, definitely super pungent loud 🔊 aroma coming from the jars but she was stinking the grow tent when she was there, amazing strain!

Well a normal week growth was good those lower branches are starting to grow and she is getting taller .The internode gap or distance seems like it will be close which is good as my height is restricted a bit ... The genetics at seedstockers are awesome you guys if this one grows anything like the others i got then dam she will produce .can't wait to see where I am next week cheers canna family

Day 43 12/06/2021- Beginning of week five of flower. She should be done soon, she will also get her final feeding soon. Day 45 12/08/2021- She got her final top dress today from here on out she is on her own all I will do is water with pain water PH to 6.2-6.8 when dry. Day 47 12/10/2021- She is coming along nicely. Very frosty wish she wasn't a auto so I could of clone her for sure. Today she got a nice treat as it rain in my hometown and that's the water she got. Hoping she is ready by the end of the year. I know she looks funny but she was never topped either. Day 49 12/12/2021- End of the week, nothing new.

Hello Diary. Finished and the fifth week of flowering, a total of the eighth week, Purple Punch looks wonderful. another week or two and there will be a harvest. The flowers themselves are well filled, and are hard to the touch, and the scent is amazing. As you can see in the photos, the shape of the plant is beautiful, as if I was doing some LST, but I just did defoliation from the lower branches. The leaves are a beautiful healthy green color, here and there some leaves have become more yellowish with a slight purple tinge, which are the first signs that the harvest is approaching. Watering is every three days, I stopped adding nutrients, I only regulate p.H of water to values ​​between 6.0 and 6.5. Conditions on the Farm are satisfactory, the temperature is around 25 degrees while the humidity is below 40%. Here's what it looked like last week: 17/03/2021 - Day 50. Watering. I prepared a total of 7 liters of water, adjusted the p.H to 6.3 and watered all three plants on the farm evenly. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 24.5 degrees and 38% humidity. 20/03/2021 - Day 53. Watering. The procedure is the same as three days ago. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.1 degrees and 34% humidity. 23/03/2021 - Day 56. Watering and photography. As for watering, the same procedure as three days ago, after which I photographed Watermelon and her roommates, two Purple Punch. Now I have to water and wait for the right moment. I check with a microscope the development of trichomes but they are still transparent. That’s it for this week, see you soon.

- Day 59 A new week already! Buds are fluffing up nicely, they look like they are getting very dense. There is some more leaves yellowing, which is clearly because of N deficiency. Hopefully that bio-grow boost I gave her yesterday will get her a bit greener again soon. I've been trying to go more gentle with the bio-grow this run because my previous grow has dark clawing leaves tips all over at the end of the grow, as I was giving too much. But it seems like now I was giving too little. 😬Note to self: next grow start with lower doses like this grow, but build up when stretch starts to happen. Day 61 Pot was dry again, right on time! Gave her 2.6L today (6.4 ph) containing Calmag, bio-grow, bio-bloom & top-max. Did some light defoliation, mostly got rid of the yellow leaves. Those buds are really fattening up now! Day 62 I lowered the lights down a bit, as the leaves seem to be able to take it. Lowered it down to 29cm, top buds are now getting a bit over 1000 PPFD Day 64 She is still drinking a lot, pot was dry again. Gave her 2.1L today containing bio-grow, bio-bloom, top-max, bio-heaven, alg-a-mic & acti-vera. Day 65 Looking good! I can tell the buds are very dense when I gave them a squeeze. Gonna try and make my first trichome pics as we go towards the final weeks.

Not the best start here, always struggle in the beginning

very strong resin production, a heavy hitter, nighttime stuff! a real great strain, highly recommended! you can certainly smell the grape with a creamy touch! ps. one of the plants was a mutant, it was very weak, had almost no resin on it and absolutely no scent at all....but it had alot of potency and a awesome yield!

Its been amazing watching them grow in the first week 😍 Lets go for week 2 🤞 I think they look a bit heat stressed so i raise the lamp a few centimeters.. Day 8- 100ml Water Day10- 400ml Water Day 12- 1L Water + 0.7 ml Root Fast Day 13 -----> I gave the same amount of water to all 4 plants last time but #1 and #2 look overwater i think... #3 has a diferent structure and a bit darker, probably because the soil is to rich. Big Bud is looking perfect 😍

Today is day 51 of flower and the top bud site calyxes are already showing a good amount of amber on the trichomes. Maybe being stunted in seedling phase caused some change in the plants growth hormones. Who knows? I’m still gonna give her at least a week until I chop her. Gonna have to start checking overall plant trichomes nightly though just so I can get a feel for the plants overall maturity/ripeness level. So excited for this harvest. The plant smells like heavenly maple syrupy butter lol.

She's 2weeks into flowering at this point. I decided to stop giving her the 'Power roots' nutrients and start giving her 'Green Sensation' because I calculated that she only has 6 weeks untill harvest. I want to stop giving her extra nutrients after 4weeks from now so she has 2weeks to get a propper flush. she look healty and strong. For so far i'm really happy about this Power flower seed i got! Week 5, day 35

Week 4 flower went fine with all three humming along nicely in living soil. Watered to saturation after applying a 1" top dressing of worm castings, compost, and Langbeinite from Down to Earth. No need for further plant training, defoliation, or pruning. Now, just sit back and let these girls finish their run.

whatever it is, it's a pity, but you can't fight with Nature :) as far as I can see from the drone flight, the girls are simply gone :D:D they are under water,.... it's a pity.... it rained a lot during the week, there is a river 300m away which flooded, here is the result: D I see this for the first time in 9 years .... well, nothing new automatic seeds, already thrown into the ground :) so I will wait for new girls :).
