Week 5 Veg Report: SCROG Netting, Massive Leafs & Precise Data Mastery! 🌱 Girls Growing Stronger Than Ever! 🌱 This week has been truly epic in the grow room—so much so that it’s time to bring in the SCROG net! With the canopy expanding and the younger ones still working to catch up, the SCROG net will help me achieve that perfect, even canopy. A well-placed SCROG not only ensures better light penetration but also gives the smaller plants a chance to spread out and thrive alongside their bigger sisters. Now, let’s dive deep into the SCROG method. The Screen of Green (SCROG) technique is a grower’s secret weapon for maximizing space, light efficiency, and yields. The concept is simple but powerful—train the plants to grow horizontally along the net, forcing them to expose multiple budding sites instead of just a single cola. This way, the canopy spreads evenly, improving light distribution and air circulation throughout the tent. As the plants grow, I’ll gently weave their branches through the screen, ensuring they fill every square inch of space. The end goal? A sea of buds all basking in equal light! 💪 Huge Leafs Everywhere! 🌿 One thing that’s really catching my eye this week is the size of the leaves—they’re HUGE! Honestly, they’re so big I couldn’t resist a little fun, so I made myself some fashion accessories: leaf earrings and a cap from the Super Sativa Seed Club Green Papaya! 😂 And, of course, I captured the moment. But seriously, large leaves at this stage are a great sign of healthy, robust plants. These “solar panels” are hard at work soaking up all the light, driving photosynthesis, and fueling growth. It’s a clear indication that they’re happy, healthy, and thriving in their environment—big leaves mean lots of energy being produced and stored for future bud growth. Exactly what we want! 💧 Precision Feeding with Aptus Nutrients 💧 This week, I took a deep dive into my Aptus nutrient lineup and shared a video explaining how each product affects the water’s pH and TDS. Using the AMP-3 Precision Meter, I’m getting real-time water readings and keeping everything dialed in perfectly. Let’s break it down: • pH: 5.83 • TDS in solution: 445 ppm • Water temperature: 25.2°C The Aptus products are incredible for balancing nutrients without throwing off the pH or TDS too much. I’m fine-tuning my feedings based on these readings to make sure the girls are getting exactly what they need. Here’s where we’re at this week: • Temperature: 26.2°C • RH: 70.6% • CO2 levels: 775 ppm • VPD: 1.0 kPa • PPFD: 423 Thanks to TrolMaster, I can monitor and adjust these metrics in real time, and the best part? I can do it all through the TM+ Pro app, even while I’m lounging in my green papaya leaf hat! 😆 Whether I’m checking the CO2 levels, adjusting the lights, or fine-tuning the humidity, it’s all in my hands with just a tap of my phone. The PCT-2 keeps me informed about the electrical conductivity and temperature of my solution, which is key for monitoring how well my plants are absorbing nutrients. Too high or too low, and we’re asking for trouble, but this sensor ensures I’m always in that perfect range. The PPH-2, on the other hand, is all about maintaining the perfect pH balance. A fluctuating pH can mean nutrient lockout or deficiencies, but thanks to this sensor, I get a constant read on my pH levels, so the plants are always in their sweet spot for optimal nutrient absorption. Flipped to 12/12 at the end of Week 7. The manganese issue seems to have been solved by lowering the pH levels. Ordinarily I'd strip most everything below the net this week, but a friend asked me to leave him some clippings until week 2-3 of flower. I cleaned it up a little underneath the net, continued to tuck new growth, and started to slack back on grow nutes, and slowly introduce flower nutrients. I was hoping to have a second Aglex 2000 COB LED to add to the tent for flower, but it may be another week or two before I can add it.

As this will be the last time I defoliate I took away quite a few of the leaves. Maybe a little too many as most guides reccomend not taking more then 30% of the leaves in a single defoliation

In all this was a terrible harvest, and because I also do videos for my YouTube channel I don't update on Grow diaries properly which I will start doing with future grows.... Well on my next harvest will definitely do a better job of documenting my harvest details. But in regards to the Dark Phoenix, yeah not a strain I'm a fan off. At first I kept telling myself that I done a terrible job that's why i don't like it... But I need to keep in mind that I'm not going to like all strains, all strains are different and we all have different preferences. Some people might like the Dark Phoenix, me personally I'm not a fan. It has that earthy taste to it... Hashy/kushy...... Smoking it as I'm typing that's why 😅 and even with a longer cure I doubt it would make much of a difference to make me like it. But in all still a nice smoke, good high from her, the high hits you straight away and keeps you active and creative.... Don't know what else to say about her really, just trying to give you guys the best most accurate review that I can without bringing my own personal thoughts about the strain. I might not like it but its still a good smoke. 👍🏾😎

Day 99: New Week We've decided against using additional nutrients and have completely stopped fertilizing. The light cycle has been reduced to 11 hours, and we're already starting to give them cooler water. Starting Monday, I will be watering with ice water to stress the plants further, aiming for higher yield, more terpenes, and increased frost. The adjustment to the light cycle should also help the plants ripen evenly. The lights are hanging about 20 cm above the buds, which are getting thicker every day, soaking up the light intensely. In about a week, most of the plants should be ready for harvest. We plan to stop watering them for about 100 hours before harvest. During this period, I'll place ice cubes on the soil to shock the roots one last time. 48 hours before harvest, I will turn off the lights, giving the plants two days of darkness. After this period, the plants will be cut and hung to dry.

Day 49. This week in the 4x8, the autos did amazing. This was the week they started to really pack on some weight and bulk up. They are stacking up nicely and are beginning to develop their own distinct terpene profile. Will update as they get further into flower. Or else I'll get a sad face 😔 lol I did come up on a storage unit full of equipment. Will be updating my cooling system soon and the watering system

Started giving only water and removed some dying leaves. As I thought the plants are still not ready to be harvested will be about 5/6 days away, that's okay at least I have time to do a good root rinsing to clean them of any remaining fertilizer residue.

For the first time in thirty-six years, they are opening the doors of the Sensi Seeds Research and Development Department. Week #4 I have let the plants grown their 4th node and have topped them all at the 3rd node during the week. All the plants responded well and started to grow 2 tops. All the genetics looks good with no shitty weird plants. Every plants are in "V" and excited to grow. The light coverage of the Mars-Hydro SP250 is good enough to leave them another week without adding more light. Using only 245w for the lightning during 5 weeks is very economic 👍 Last week feeding has been done in time, everyone is green lush. No need to add any nootz this week, just giving plain pH’d water. (I’m looking for a job in the Cannabis industry as Master Grower, Mineralogist, Quality Control)

Fattys are growing and seem to be thirstier.Used foliar spray to help the leaves and also started tucking. When the plant was topped pistils were seen for first time.

Week 9 9 weeks of Vegging, this is where if you work as a Master Grower in a big scale Grow-Op, the boss starts to ask if they’re ready for the flowering rooms... They need one more week Sir ! I have defoliate and lollipopped the plants. Taking off the 4 highest fan leaves and trimming the legs of the lowest shoots. Starting by the fan leaves at beginning of the week and trimming the shoots a few days after at the end of week. Normally, if it has been done right, during the next week the plants should start to spread, growing like little bushes. I will keep on spreading them, to give them all the space they need to grow, but just close enough to make them feel the competition with the others. Next week will be the last week of Vegging, if everything goes well they should reach the right level, just before switching and should have enough space left for the stretch and the Flowering cycle without finishing into the lights. Flowering day 77 since time switch to 12/12 h. Hey guys :-) Finally the time has come . The lady was harvested and hung upside down in the dry tent 😍. Before that, she stood in the drying tent in complete darkness for 2 days and the large leaves were removed. The small leaves stay attached during the drying process so that they protect the buds and allow them to dry more slowly and evenly :-) . In the dry tent, the temperature is 18-19.5 degrees and the humidity is 54-58% 👍. In this environment they are now allowed to hang for 10-14 days before they are fine-tuned and trimmed clean by hand. then after trimming they come to ferment for 6-12 weeks in dark jars with bobeda packs 62% to keep the perfect humidity. After a few weeks, the Boveda packs 58% are used so that they can slowly dry out :-) . Of course there is one last update after trimming. Until then, I wish you a lot of fun with the update.
