I had a little trouble this week Plants 1 and 2 are still droopy and the fungus gnats seem to be getting worse. I wasn't sure if it was overwatering or not enough nutrients. So I let them dry out for 4 days and noticed it got worse. So it probably was not overwatering. On day 56 I top dressed Plants 1 and 2 with some left over Nature's Living Soil. I used 2 tablespoons each and added 4 cups of Root's Organic soil also since the pots have settled a little. Then I gave all the plants a good watering. Hopefully after a few days they will perk back up. On day 55 I added sticky cards to each pot to keep an eye on how many fungus gnats I have. There was quite a few after just one day but I noticed less in the tent. I read some posts on Nature's Living Soil and another on air-pots. It seems like others have had nutrition problems with Nature's Living Soil if they went longer than a month of vegging, which would explain my issue. The other post about air-pots said fungus gnats love them since they can attack the soil from all sides instead of just the top layer. Apparently if you let the top layer of soil dry out well in normal pots the fungus gnat problem mostly goes away. But when using air-pots the top layer of soil might dry out but they can still get to the moist soil from the bottom or sides.

This week has been a total success 💚🌿 all thanks to my mate BB_UK!! all the ladies have been perfectly transplanted into their new 4 phat sacs with FoxFarms Happy Frog organic soil. Put up the scrog netting today and also went out and bought a 1 gallon sprayer to feed my ladies, so much easier to get to the hard to get areas with ease. Now it's the growing game. Did my first bend on my ladies today. The bend is in the photo. Let's see her in the morning how she went. Right then 7 weeks of flower complete. I'll dive right in to the juicy bits as this week has been predominantly about deciding weather to chop or keep one of my girls going. In the end I chose to do both! As the photos and videos show the plant wasn't recovering so I checked the trichomes and it was actually pretty ripe. A few Amber's on the upper buds. Lowers still undeveloped so I decided to take the biggest and leave the smallest for another week or while ever the plant is healthy. I estimate I've taken around 7oz once dry. Depending how they swell up I'm hoping for a further 5oz of solid bag worthy nugs. Looking nice and frosty, smell is that typical sweet haze with some sour diesel/fruit kick in there. You can see how the photos progress my hands getting covered in resin. Got to give my other 3 some love as they are getting healthier and fatter. I'm thinking another week on one of them and 2 on the others. I'll more than likely stagger the harvest like tonight if it proves worth while. I will update mid week.

The start of the week is going well.Did some defoliation. Added a scrog net. I removed the scrog the next day, might use it if the buds need support. There’s no way to add the rabbit poo to the nutrients accurately all I did was top dress the soil with a few scoops and worked it in the soil lightly. Water with distilled water.

I bring down the ph of the rockwool cubes by soaking them for a few hours in 3,5 and then flush them with ph 5,8 water with nutrients in and then let the cubes sit in ph corrected nutrients solution. I let them drain for 10 minutes After a 3,5 hours.

They are all over the place, yet the pH was basically the same. I’m going to let these girls dry out for 5 days this time and try again on the readings. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Week 4, Day 28 - FLOWER: 05/22/2021 Had a curve ball thrown at me today. I came into the grow room this morning around 9 a.m. and realized that my grow lights were still on, which set off an alarm in my head becauseI have my lights set to turn on at 5 p.m. and go off at 5 a.m. Though, I quickly found the cause of the lights not going off at their regular time. The switch on my timer had somehow flipped from "Timer On" to "Outlet On" at some point within the past day, without me realizing, so the lights remained on past their normal "bedtime". I can only conclude that the switch got bumped when unplugging a fan. This unfortunate incident caused the plants to get about an extra 4 hours of light than normal before I was able to shut them off. I went with my instinct and decided to keep the lights off for a full 12 hours, rather than wake them up at their regular time. That means the lights didn’t come back on until 9pm, at which point I watered. Plants were all noticeably droopy with dry soil. They were definitely thirsty. Tap water: 228ppm, 8.5 pH, 71℉ + HydroGuard: 8ml/8 gallons + pH Down: 25ml Mixture: 255ppm, 6.2 pH, 71℉ ppm/ppm = runoff/soil JB#1 - 1190ppm/935ppm, 6.5 pH AP#1 - 1180ppm/925ppm, 6.3 pH AP#2 - 954ppm/699ppm, 6.8 pH GC#1 - 1600ppm/1345ppm, 6.3 pH This watering was SUCH A JOY. I got plenty of runoff! I was able to take readings that seemed to be much more accurate than the last few waterings. Diese Woche kam endlich mein Luftbefeuchter von AC Infintiy an, habe die Luftfeuchtigkeit gleich mal auf 75% hochgeschraubt, ich denke in der aktuellen Phase habe ich noch kein hohes Risiko mit Schimmer. Ich werde die gleiche Luftfeuchtigkeit noch in der vierten Woche halten und danach suggestiv um 5% pro Woche runter gehen. Außerdem habe ich diese Woche eine halbe BTI Tablette auf 10l Wasser eingesetzt um die Trauermücken ein bisschen unter Kontrolle zu bekommen. Außerdem habe ich Reismilch angesetzt, selbige werde ich morgen mit Milch mischen, dann einige Tage warten und dann die daraus resultierende Milchsäure als Zusatz für das Gießwasser zu geben.

09/21/22 another week and the Mrs is growing slowly but surely.

Day36, 37, 38: Seems to be growing a set of leaves per day now. Super growth! Stretching to the top. Day39: I had a hiccup with the camera. For some reason it stopped responding at 04:30 in the morning. I only realized it much later. I still don't really know why, but reseating the data ribbon fixed the issue. Day40: After fixing the camera, I decided to take this view again. The Lady is starting to show some nice growth and this view will show it best. If you look carefully, you'll see that her branches are not green, but rather reddish. Definitely related to genetics :) Everything else is within limits. Plus, the leaves look super healthy. Day41: Here you can see the stem colour better.

Week 4 update - through the first week of the stretch and all is developing well. It’s really only the one strong male that’s started showing significantly. Most of the females have trace pistils and are still rapid vegging as expected. Every plant continues showing excellent hybrid vigour and there are literally zero noticeable deficiencies. Currently, the count is at about 2/3 males + about 2/3 indica dominant fem phenos. We took clones of everything female this week so that we can bud em out proper in the dutchy cabinet once the pollen subsides. That’s where we’ll get a real look at the bid quality👌. They’re all quite young at only 3/4 weeks from seed but still look hardy and strong. Rigged up a new drip ring delivery system so that we could take off for a couple days and make watering easier for my mother in-law. Anyone wants the skinny on those, just throw me a dm - super easy design and save a ton of cash and time. All told - were well on our way to the final finish of this generation and the punnet squaring should be interesting once we’re done. End of the day, the grower in me is just giddy for the next cycle. Finally gonna have the option to grow a bunch of different fems for a shit ton o bud👍👌💪. Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It’ll be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We’ve combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She’s Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we’ve got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation👍. We’re predominantly focused on the plants that demonstrate that hybrid vigour and wasting no time with any problem plants or runts.
