One of the marvels of autoflowers is their ability to veg and preflower simultaneously. Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. And hello to you who read my diary, I just want to say that I am pleased that you have chosen to check in with me and in my diary. I do this for myself and for a steady flow of my medicine. Everything you read and see in my diary is 100% honest and I will never distort or beautify anything here. I document my crops so that I can learn from my mistakes and also to look back at those different crops. I try to update with pictures every day and with text if something special has happened in the garden. This is my strainhunt for the best medicine and the beginning of my journey with cannabis and the cultivation of it. This is my second feminised cultivation ever. First, I'm just going to say something about my grow room. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps for bloom. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable environment in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. I will grow completely organically in soil and will watercure my buds to get the best possible medicine for me. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This new strain combines two well-received parents, Juanita la Lagrimosa (Spanish for "Juanita the Tearful") and Royal Highness, which are themselves genetic hybrids of other precursor strains: Juanita the Tearful from Queen Mother and a Mexican-Afghan blend; Royal Highness from Dance Hall and Respect 13. On and on the strains date back in agricultural time, each new variety with its own unique smell, taste, color, high and medical benefit. However, in the past decade, a goal of all this tinkering has been what some producers are starting to call “Royal Respect” with the soul of marijuana's benefits going toward both body and mind. Painkiller XL is notable for its near-equal representation of 6 percent tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and 7 percent cannabidiol (CBD), achieved by a seed that's 70 percent sativa and 30 percent indica. Been a bit disappointed in these so far I think it’s user error instead of the seeds/plants I think I fed them with shogun start for too long and changed their pot size too early. But I’ve got to say they smell unreal and if the yield isn’t as good as it could be I’ll learn for next time

This slurricane smells sweet and delicious. I spread the plants out a little this week so they get better light and air flow. Other than that I haven't done anything besides keep the reservoir full. Still pumping nutrients 1 minute on 20 minutes off. They are getting .5 tsp maxibloom per gallon. Not going to run any boosters this round. They dont look like they want or need it.

It’s clear that the root zone is well-established, as no wilting signs appear and the medium remains nicely moist—no need to water for now. While it may seem like a temporary pause in outdoor activity, this rest indoors is helping the plant conserve energy and avoid potential stress from fluctuating cold and wet conditions. Once the weather stabilises again, it’ll be back to soaking up real sunshine. What stands out now are the multiple lower branches developing evenly—clear signs that this plant is preparing for the flowering transition in the near future. It’s rewarding to witness how much energy the plant can absorb on days like this. Some nights are slightly cooler, but the days bring back that familiar warmth – and she clearly loves it. Her structure is becoming more defined, with side branches now fully visible and stretching confidently towards the light. Since she’s grown outdoors from the beginning, the natural rhythm of sun and wind has made her strong, well-adapted, and noticeably more robust than my previous indoor tent grows. It’s truly fascinating how dynamic and engaging outdoor growing can be. There’s a deeper connection to the process – monitoring the skies, respecting nature’s timing, and witnessing each subtle change. Plus, it’s certainly a more economical setup! The pistils are now popping with greater clarity, signalling the transition into flowering. It’s incredibly satisfying to watch her shift gears and get ready for her next stage of development. My super soil continues to do all the heavy lifting – no feeding schedule, just pH-balanced water when the topsoil is dry, which depends entirely on whether she’s basking outside or sitting in the shade indoors. Day 0 - She's in a red solo cup, that has been cut in 1/2, and has 5 small holes in the bottom! The idea is that she's building a tight root ball, and will explode upon transplant! Can also slip a sandwich bag over top, as a humidity dome! Day 7 - Thinking that she should have the small pot rooted by day 10.

D78/FD50 - Apologies, a week late on my report. Nothing really going on with the SCP. Pistils starting to turn a peach colour so starting to ripen on the new 11/13 cycle (Still using flower initiator so they're getting equivilent of 15hrs darkness!!!). Couple of big girl colas in there but starting to worry as have had Bud Rot starting to run rife through the Cookies!!! 😠 **Update** D84/FD56 - Cookies have become a real problem...looks like a partial harvest to hopefully save the SCP. Researching some Organic/Bio-Fungicides (Bacillus amyloliquefaciens/Trichoderma Harzianum - Both in TNC TricorrP5 - Speaking to some people to see about getting a hold of some as you cant get Southern AG here or some of the Dedicated T. Harzianum fungicides like TAC3!!!) that can be applied even through to harvest (But best at start of flower as an inoculum) to outcompete the Botrytis. I am starting to think turning WIlma into a DWC is why my plants have got so big the last 2 grows (Could be the Feed, but dunno...I am thinking 24hr access to water & food has made them greedy and the good light has given them fuel!!!). Hard to contain the humidity so looks like next grow (After a decontamination session after this batch finished up) I will be vicious with Defoliation (May even got into mainlining) and find a way to get this new fan direct to the outside to strip out humid air thats getting pumped back into the room. Anyway, happy growing all!!! 💪
