Overall I enjoyed this grow and learned a lot about living soil. Going for a slow dry, trim, then at least a one month cure. Hopefully another six days and I’ll update with a dry yield. My next batch is already cooking but with 5 gallon pots. 03/25 - Day 7 Drying B & C are done drying and have been in jars for a day now with RH ~60%. Total 3oz from B & C. Total 1.5oz from A & D

The ladies are looking good this week. 2 of them on Wednesday had a few twisted leafs, so I have been trying to figure out how my ph got high. My normal routine is to prep the water the day before feeding to the correct ph. But finding after it sits over night, it rises from 6.5 to 7.1. This has now been corrected and only time will tell if these two ladies decide to untwist. My topping is looking really good, I've enclosed a photo of the beautiful knuckles on them. Trying to decide if I should top again, and when can I? I think the SCOG net will be coming out real soon, maybe this week or next. My one shorter girl has gotten bigger, but still considerably shorter than the rest. SCOG, should give her a chance to catch up. I'm really looking forward to this grow, and being my first, it's been really enjoyable. I only wish I picked up this hobby sooner. I find it fulfilling and relaxing.

Surprised by how well the water is wicked to the medium from the water bottle, it took a long time, but wick works as intended. I was unsure how much if any nutrient would be transferred via wick but the high salt content altered pH at certain parts. Right before the symptoms arose I decided to supercrop the stem top to bottom on one plant, shortly thereafter the burning happened from the same plant from running 8.0 pH, and nutrient uptake ground to a halt on the plant that was dealing with stress. She doesn't seem happy. Remedied with aluminum sulfate, things seem to be coming back to normal. I need to be more careful with salts. I need MOAR knowledge. How many weeks shall we veg? Going to take a while to fill that canopy with just two plants, should probably start topping now but I'll wait until pH problem Is remedied first, a couple more days hopefully πŸ™. I defoliated maybe 6 bigger leaves that had burned yellow on one plant, as it comes back to optimal range, this will be a good opportunity to observe the subtle differences that early defoliation can make. Added a pound of tourmaline powder and biochar, both increase soil urease and invertase activities. *2025 Didn't charge the biochar skewing my ph drastically. Urease is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of urea into CO2 and NH3 and is a key component in the nitrogen cycle in soils. Invertase (d-fructofuranosidfructohydrolase, EC 3.2.1.26) is the enzyme that capable both break down Ξ±-1,4-glycosidic linkage between d-glucose and d-fructose of sucrose and transferring Ξ±Ξ²-D-O-fructofuranoside residue to an acceptor substrate (Toledo et al., 2019). Since tourmaline is widely distributed in the natural environment and has many excellent physical and chemical properties including radiating far infrared energy, permanently releasing negative ions, producing an electrostatic field, releasing rare microelements, and stimulating the growth and metabolism of microorganisms and plants, tourmaline had been conducted to alleviate potential environmental pollution. Perfect for how much seaweed I've added just incase.

well I overfed boom and veg dry amendments waited 2 weeks instead of 4, by accident. I now have a K potassium toxicity which will always express as a magnesium deficiency. The salts side would flush the pot at this point, However, I am organic and instead I am going to give the plant the magnesium it is looking for allowing it to process the K faster. This should resolve the issue without flushing. If you have to flush an organic soil then its pretty much just wasted mix it into fresh mix at least 50/50 and start again. Basically flushing is not an option in organics.

Veg Week 3 The Plants DAY 22 - Transplanted T.O.5. Not Root Bound, but definitely could see the bright white roots all around the container. The plant started stretching almost immediately. So cool to see plants move. DAY 26 - Finished Transplanting for this week-- T.O. 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 13 to ~1 gallon pots. Watering Starting watering every day toward the end of the week (Day 26). Days are starting to get warmer. Growing in fabric pots in Southern California typically requires daily watering starting in June. I've learned through the years that the plant just sucks up the water and boosts in size. The more water you can give it without rotting the roots - the bigger the plant. There are still differences in strains - some plants just like to get dry before the next drenching. Couple more weeks until the June solstice (June 20). Nutrients Building up the arsenal in my cupboard--Bud Candy + Overdrive from AN, Kelp Meal from Down To Earth. I usually don't add too much stuff because the soil is fairly loaded from the bag.

(UPDATE) Not bud rot, cabbage worms. Lame. Purchasing some BT killer. The week was going good until I (may have had a delusional) found some potential Bud Rot! I took photos and asked a question, no answer yet. So I cut the potentially infected area away and will monitor very very closely.

Hey guys :-) The lady has developed very nicely this week πŸ‘. They were planted in their 8 liter pot where they can now really take root again. Hello Growmies, Two weeks into vegetation, our Watermelon Candy by Zamnesia is striking a fine figure in the grow tent. Each plant has achieved a notable height of 14 cm, an impressive feat for their age, suggesting that they are well on their way to becoming vigorous and bushy specimens. The uniformity observed in the first week continues to be a defining trait of the Watermelon Candy strain. These plants, with their symmetrical leaf structure and consistent growth patterns, are reflecting their strong genetic lineage. The lush green leaves and the tautness of the stems speak volumes about the care they've received. Their transplant into the 12.5-liter air-pots, coupled with the application of Great White during the process, has provided them with a fertile foundation for root development. This mycorrhizal support will surely bolster their ability to uptake water and nutrients efficiently, setting them up for success in the coming weeks. The controlled environment, with precise management of temperature and humidity, continues to foster their growth. With the lights dimmed to 25% and delivering 150-180 PPFD, the plants are receiving the perfect amount of energy to thrive without the stress of overexposure. The IR lighting before lights on and off, along with the midday UV light exposure, is fine-tuning their growth cycles and boosting their natural defenses. Once the inline fan is connected and operational, you'll have complete control over the tent's environment, enhancing dehumidification during the night and ensuring optimal conditions 24/7. It's this attention to detail and environment that is paving the way for these Watermelon Candy plants to flourish. Stay lifted, Salokin.
