Here we are starting week 5 with this beautiful plant (the big one, I should give her a name...) who went through all her vegetation weeks showing great strength, thriving like a boss and making me so very happy! What a therapeutic experience 😎
On day 32 I decided to introduced a 1000W LED monstrosity light to the grow environment, hoping to give a nice boost on her first week of flower, than a rookie mistake happened...of course. I forgot to raise the lamp further up, that caused a slight burn on the tip of a hand-full of leaves. The good news is:
she is doing just fine as beautiful as ever.

The little girl got another defoliation session and she is recovering well after mainlining last week, but man.... she slow...she very slow. There Is strength on her, I noticed her little branches curving against the mainline ties, she is sassy Im telling you. I am going to insist to see what happens.
Overall the girls are doing just fine, my two other seedlings are coming up sweet'n fast, I should've have planted all 4 at the same time! *FutureNote*
Now a quick question, what is the lifespan of a Chinese 4'' carbon filter from Amazon? Apparently 5 weeks LOL. Here I am now researching carbon filters, quality + price, to make a new order before my place smells like Snoop Dog's soul. #RookieGrowerProblems

🌿Week 4: Defoliation & SCROG Setup
Week 4 was all about structure and airflow.
The canopy was getting bushy fast, with a ton of inner growth, so we went in for a solid defoliation session across the board. Lower fans, overlapping leaves, and shaded internodes were cleaned up to let light penetrate deeper into the canopy and reduce potential humidity traps.
Right after that, we finally dropped the SCROG net, stretched out gently across the canopy to guide the branches horizontally and prep for flower stacking. Some of these phenos are already reaching for the sky, so the timing felt just right.
Captured a full-time-lapse clip of the defoliation + netting process. It’s super satisfying watching the chaos turn into clean lines. Nature meets intention.

After defol, they bounced back fast. Tops are perky, leaves are praying, and stretch is continuing in a controlled way. The structure’s more open now — better airflow, better light distribution, better everything.

The Day has come to flip the lights 🌱☄️⏲️
Plants are healthy enough and producing lots of new leaves. Stems are also getting thicker and Turgor ist there. I bend some stems and used the net to gain a bit of control, but not like real Scrogg should be done, but that's not what I'm aiming for.
I also cut of stems and leaves from the bottom, which are not necessary. Later, at day 19 -23 , I will do a bigger defoliation, to get a thinner carpet and allow weaker growth to gain more light. I still don't use NPK fertilizer, only rooting acceleration and Silica in form of Mono-Silic-Acid with Hints of Boron.
As you can see, the ladies are developing a healthy green, not like you could see in the weeks before.
The plant in the left side suffered from Wind damage, I just hung up the Vent a bit higher and decreased the power.

One of the plants is experiencing some issues. Growth is slower. Some of the leaves are showing signs of light burn. Decided to name them Cheek and Chong, with the little one being Cheech. The 1st attempt I names Harold and Kumar. Maybe they died from a shortage of White Castles. 😕

She's almost ready to come down and the flowers are pretty nice size, with good trichome build-up. She smells funky but creamy sweat.

Beer almost ruined half a year of work.
Long story short, a space heater got the room wayyy too hot during their off cycle...and I run it on the colder side when the lights off. Dealing with some powdery mildew but containing it with a foliar spray mix of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) a “splash” of h202 and a tiny drip of soap and applying with the lights off.
Throughout the grow I am consistently using 3/4th the recommended doses each week for their hydro line. I fill 4 gallons but dose as if there’s only 3 gal. Near the end of the grow I am filling 4 gallons, still dosing as if 3 gallons, however the root ball would cause the bucket to overflow so I have to dump about 30% away to other plants so my water level is where it should be. A little more than halfway full seems to work, and if it is slightly too high, the plant will drink it down where it is fine by tomorrow

The buds were very fluffy not very frosty and the effect was mild and the smell was week. When you looking the plants they look like they have a shitload of weed but it's just volume, they have no mass. With so many colas i usually take about 400-450 gramms. All these problems came from the heat and it's not from bad genetics.Unfortunately i don't have photos from the hole harvest because i pretty much forgot about grow diaries and didn't took any.I will upload what is left... I think i am going to give it another shot when temperatures go down as i am very satisfied with the auto version from previous grows . For now i am starting 2 new diaries with an auto dinamex ( i hope :P) and an auto girl scout cookies from fast buds.

So I watered with 2ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4 with 4ml Xpert Nutrients Cal-Mag amino acids.
I have really overdone the nutrients, I got carried away 😅
To try and rectify the situation, I've cut everything out except Cal-Mag amino acids.
I will try to just stick to this with some Biosys, but I'm running out of that now, too.
Anyway, with Or Without, I'm sure it'll balance out. Fingers crossed 🤞

The smell of this baby is crazy and really fruity. The buds are really getting sticky..
It's a pleasure to grow this strain and really getting hard not to harvest, but I still do not see amber trichomes yet and I hope buds will grow bigger the next couple weeks..
But looks so awesome now.
#fastbuds is awesome...

Aug 24: Cheese is doing fine.
Don’t take flash pics of photoperiods unless you’re immediately using a 730 nm far red light to put them into dark mode.
Aug 26: gave the plants another lazy compost tea. I was holding off for a couple weeks to avoid giving them too much N.
Aug 28: defoliated some inner branches that were crowding things.

Day 1 ....mostly LST to straighten the mains stems...I normally miss this tight window.. it reduces the risk of the stems breaking later..
Will top again this week. End up with 4 main nodes.
