With the canopy expanding and the younger ones still working to catch up, the SCROG net will help me achieve that perfect, even canopy. A well-placed SCROG not only ensures better light penetration but also gives the smaller plants a chance to spread out and thrive alongside their bigger sisters. Now, let’s dive deep into the SCROG method. The Screen of Green (SCROG) technique is a grower’s secret weapon for maximizing space, light efficiency, and yields. The concept is simple but powerful—train the plants to grow horizontally along the net, forcing them to expose multiple budding sites instead of just a single cola. This way, the canopy spreads evenly, improving light distribution and air circulation throughout the tent. As the plants grow, I’ll gently weave their branches through the screen, ensuring they fill every square inch of space. The end goal? A sea of buds all basking in equal light! 💪 Huge Leafs Everywhere! 🌿 One thing that’s really catching my eye this week is the size of the leaves—they’re HUGE! Exactly what we want! 💧 Precision Feeding with Aptus Nutrients 💧 This week, I took a deep dive into my Aptus nutrient lineup and shared a video explaining how each product affects the water’s pH and TDS. Using the AMP-3 Precision Meter, I’m getting real-time water readings and keeping everything dialed in perfectly. Let’s break it down: • pH: 5.83 • TDS in solution: 445 ppm • Water temperature: 25.2°C The Aptus products are incredible for balancing nutrients without throwing off the pH or TDS too much. I’m fine-tuning my feedings based on these readings to make sure the girls are getting exactly what they need. The PCT-2 keeps me informed about the electrical conductivity and temperature of my solution, which is key for monitoring how well my plants are absorbing nutrients. Too high or too low, and we’re asking for trouble, but this sensor ensures I’m always in that perfect range. The PPH-2, on the other hand, is all about maintaining the perfect pH balance. A fluctuating pH can mean nutrient lockout or deficiencies, but thanks to this sensor, I get a constant read on my pH levels, so the plants are always in their sweet spot for optimal nutrient absorption. One of them seems to be herming, but I am glad I didn't harvest early, because it seems to be frosting up heavily near the end. I am going to be vaporizing the bud anyway, so a few underdeveloped seeds wont be the worst. Did some defoliation as it was looking really cluttered. As of day 69, I am not noticing any milky/amber trichomes yet. I have read that this can be an 11-12 week plant.

I pinched the tops off both plants..

End of Week 5 Brewed a nice veg-specific compost tea and the ladies loved it. Trying to make sure the soil stays nice and moist to keep the microbes happy and letting the top 3 cm of the topsoil dry before each watering. The ladies have gained some momentum and they're growing at a rapid pace . I also performed some HST by tucking fan leaves and softly pinching and bending some of the stems to open up the canopy whilst keeping the stress at a minimal. Pest Report: Didn't have much issues up until now... I noticed about 5-10 tiny little thrips on some of the leaves and I applied an organic microbial insecticide (Agro Organics Bio-Insek, Google it!) that seems to have taken care of the problem. Now I will apply it weekly to make sure those buggers are ELIMINATED.

Last couple weeks for the Green Gelato pair. Getting a couple amber trichs in the video. I accidentally snapped a branch and decided to fully remove it from one, and will add to the total weight at the end. The Royal Gorilla is a strange one. Still far behind at this age, could go 100 days potentially lol. Drinking 2l a day too.

420 Fastbuds Week 5 Amnesia Zkittlez Auto Hey grow fam hoping all is well with everyone's grows. This week has been good for these two amazing beautiful plants. The smaller one decided to start growing upward finally instead of stacking up super tight between branches. The bigger one while doing a defoliation and lollipoping I notice what looked like pollin sacks on a couple of the lower nodes. I plucked them off and figured I'll keep an eye out for more. All in all both are growing fantastic from the looks so will keep the same routine up. Happy Growing

Both phenos coming out nicely, super tight this will be absolutely rocket fuel, super sweet smell. Reduced RH to 55% and running 1050 ppms starting to rundown from 1250.
