~ Day 71 Update ~ Hello everyone! Hola! I’m Meus and this is my 10th weekly update for “First Mainline Attempt!”. I’d like to welcome new & veteran growers, Thanks for taking the time to stop by :) ~ Progress ~ You know, I’m astounded by the level of growth in this past week, my mind is blown! 5" of growth compared to the avg of 1" for the past few weeks (9,8,7, etc), just wow 😱. The smell is pungent, dank, and slightly sweet. I can only dream of what these girls will skunk out, soon, very soon... I’d like to flower now but I have a few small issues. First: I wanted to stop at 8 toppings but I need clones of the others so everyone gets topped to keep an even canopy. Of course I’m not taking 8 clones each 😏, just 2-3 of each strain (5 strains, 6 plants; 2 phenotypes) to put in my 2nd tent till these girls (mainlined beasts) are harvested. This is ambitious though I’m optimistic that this will work out 🙏 Second: Related to the first issue I’m going to need a trellis net to support these girls with their 16 tops. Thing is, all my plant have varying flowering schedules (55 to 70+ days). I’ll need to make a net set up that I can cut out each plant individually as they’re ready to harvest. Third: MOLD! Though it’s not a lot I do have a bit of mold developing at the bottom of the fabric pots (which are known to mold). I’m going to switch to Superoots Air-Pot so I can avoid the mold. They’re $10+ a pop so I might have to wait till my next grow to afford the amount I need to make a full switch. Depending on how things go I’ll start flowering at week 13. Now concerning the mold I found a few ways to deal with my problem without harming or altering taste of these young ladies. This will be a tough 11 - 14 weeks, I’ll keep ya updated fam! ~ Individual progress notes ~ (will post full information soon, update delayed for personal reasons) [Purple Urkle #1] Height: 14" Tops: 8 Notes: 14 inches... That's quite a climb :) Though she's stretchy like her sister I'm excited, can't wait to see the development in the next few weeks of veg 😊 [Purple Urkle #2] Height: 13.2" Tops: 8 Notes: I'm surprised at the uniformity of these two sisters, I'm going to veg a bit longer and get me some clones just in case ;) [CBD Blueberry] Height: 9.8" Tops: 8 Notes: I thought this girl was a goner, definitely didn't respond to the mainline well like the others, wonder why? 😶 Still I'm impressed that my smallest plant is filling in, though she looks weird I still love her and her minions <3 [White Widow] Height: 11.2 Tops: 8 Notes: Well... This was one of my smallest girls, she's by far the bushiest and most filled in. For an example look at her root mass, one word, insane! Roots are spreading everywhere, so aggressive and the trunk is huge, perfect for transporting all those nutes. Tanya here recovered from a split too, awesome :) [Mazar] Height: 13.8 Tops: 8 Notes: Taller but just as dense as the white widow, the Mazar has potential! A beautiful, healthy canopy, one of my best girls. It's a good feeling knowing that my hard work is paying off 😭 I'm afraid of topping this one because she is so dense that 16 tops will be off the hook, better make a plan soon 🙏 [Super Silver Haze] Height: 11.2 Tops: 8 Notes: I’m starting to get impatient, I love this strain! Well, most strains developed by Arjan are great <3 I will need to feed soon with diluted nutes, she looks hungry a bit. Other than that she’s a healthy young lady that’s ready to flower :) ~ Final Thoughts ~ Where to start... I’m excited! Getting my clones are my top priority right now, then I'll focus on canopy support. I’ve come a long way from my first grow, even though I failed I learned a lot. Those lessons are keeping me on my toes and I’m learning more everyday. Thank you to those who have been influential to my success, much love! I can honestly say Grow Diaries is the best! What a fantastic community to just happen upon while skimming forums one day. So again, thank you guys so much for the support! The comments are informative and helpful, I appreciate em all :) Thanks for stopping by, much love <3

Moin moin liebe growmies!

Well that was fun. First time delving into the homegrown world and I’m officially hooked. Following the cocoforcannabis nutrient schedule and method, I ended up with 200 grams of dry bud and an extra 40 grams of trim/larf for edibles. I may have had them in the dry tent for a day too long, the hygrometers in the jars have settled around 54% RH, but they feel pretty damn sticky and moist to me. Been toking the larf and the high is really nice, definitely smoother than anything I’ve gotten from a dispensary. Can definitely taste the 🍇 and I’m excited to see what a little more cure will do. Already have my seeds ready for round 2, thanks for checking out the grow!

@MephistoGenetics, Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grow. First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of 3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable environment in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 10 pcs 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. I will grow completely organically in soil and will watercure my buds to get the best possible medicine for me. But there are no cultivation rooms to be displayed here, so I continue with what is most important. Today I have put my seeds in paper towel and hope the seeds have germinated within a few days. I am very excited to see how the new growroom will work and how this Illuminauto 21 - Sour Crinkle will turn out. Illuminauto 21 - Sour Crinkle (Grape Crinkle x Sour Crack) Two of our fastest and frostiest varieties collide to make a sweet and sour delight! Expect super frosty, compact nugs that won't be a toke for novices. Destined to be a great strain for extraction work too! Plant size - Small - Medium Cycle time - 60-65 days from sprout Indica/Sativa - 80/20 Frost level - Extra Ridiculous https://www.mephistogenetics.com/product-page/illuminauto-21-sour-crinkle ................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. 2017-08-21. Hello to you who read my diary, I just want to say that I am pleased that you have chosen to check in with me and in my diary. I just want to say that I do this for myself and for a steady flow of my medicine. Everything you read and see in my diary is 100% honest and I will never distort or beautify anything here. I document my crops so that I can learn from my mistakes and also to look back at those different crops. I try to update with pictures every day and with text if something special has happened in the garden. This is my strainhunt for the best medicine and the beginning of my journey with cannabis and the cultivation of it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2017-08-30.

day 7 Flowering: Hi all . It has been the start of their flowering this week and the initial stages of their stretch period. Time to exploit the burst of growth and set them in position for full light absorbing relaxation. The less stress to get light , the more focus on creating the beauty in flowering hopefully. I took some time to do a clear out of the small scrappy growth low down the stems to focus on the happy growing bud sites higher up. With their shape and size , the flowers would have been within the ball shapes and unable to develop properly. The shape of the plants from the tip spreading is very helpful now. I am able to tuck the really big powerhouse fans , underneath the developing lowers. This supports the lower growth to head higher but also keeps the main stem powered by the very important big fans. As these are autoflowers and able to use the available light through the huge fans , it can only be beneficial to keep them as long as possible while they are not blocking anything. The difference between the strains is noticable more now with the Strawberry Pie wanting to spread her branching more . Tip spreading has kept them smaller but their nature still has them wanting the long node lengths and cluster bud structures as opposed to long donkey di#ks. The other strains have benefited more from it and in particular, the #2 Six Shooter has an amazing amount of hopeful mains all fighting for focus so should be a good example of how tip spreading really works to create productive , squat beasts. Fingers crossed.lol They are still being fed just water with no additional boosts beside the last top dressings. I will be watering again with the biosys tea but they look so happy and green that I wont be adding any other products unless I notice a need. Cal.mag being the exception as I want to avoid the expected deficits from using l.e.d , before it can slow anything down in repair/recovery. The light is covering them all perfectly and with the height still to be lowered after the stretch is done , I know from previous Mars lights, the big solid nugs will appear.... I have used a video to show the past weeks growth rather than the usual pics and hope this will be more interesting than having to scroll pics. I also noticed a few leaf miners among the other plants and suspect we have some migration here too. Not too serious as yet but before it gets too bad , I used a store bought spray ( organic) to hopefully get to grips before they do. Failing this , a good smoke bomb might be used. Until the next time , be well and loved.

I’m week behind due to work a lot these days but here’s my girl on day 39 of flower. Starting to fill out more nicely now. Did some minor LST and defoliating as well to open up the canopy a bit. Patiently counting the days down till harvest. A little over 3 weeks left for this girl. One more feeding with nutrients and then every feeding afterwards will be plain water. Till next update ✌️🏾

Dutch Passion - Melonads Runtz, 120 days from seed and 72 days in flowering. The trichomes are still clear, so we will continue to wait until at least 20% of the trichomes turn brown before harvesting. Our beauty is still being fed with Xpert Nutrients, which keeps her in excellent condition. I want to express my huge thanks to Dutch Passion for such an incredible strain! And of course, a special thank you to Xpert Nutrients for their fertilizers that help the plant develop and show its full potential at every stage of growth!

. End of Week 5 (day 35): She's stretching really well, displaying a dominant stem and shorter surrounding shoots that I believe comes from the Gelato #33 genetics. I've not really done much trimming or defoliation, yet she looks almost naked. Her leaves indicate some stress, but the vigorous growth and appetite say "full steam ahead, Mister." With a sample size of one it's hard to know if she's the 1 in 5 chance Autoflower or not. I may pop the rest of the Gelato x GDP seeds out of curiosity at some point in the future, but its not a priority.

Well, these ladies are growing like weeds! 😃 I am getting ready to do their second topping. They seem to be taking nutrients well. I am planning on vegging them out for at least 3 more weeks. Going to have some monsters! 😎 Sincerely, thanks for all the support. 🙂
