Blue light is absorbed by photoreceptor proteins called phototropins, which trigger a hormonal response that causes cells on the shaded side to elongate, making the plant bend toward the light. Try and fill this side a little. She is quite big already, just needs to find her stride again after the undue torture. 5 apex stems with 20-30 mini cola, let them develop a little, with the apical dominance shattered, all those 20-30 will all compete with each other as soon as that stretch is initiated. Key to a good stretch is making sure the plant is cycling efficiently, with large ATP conversions occurring lights out. For now, I'm keeping light intensity high. A plant will slow its vertical growth in very high light intensities, leading to a more compact form with thicker stems and leaves. This response is a protective mechanism against light stress, which can damage the photosynthetic apparatus and lead to symptoms like leaf scorching, yellowing, and brittleness. Instead of growing taller, the plant invests its energy into creating a more robust, stress-tolerant structure. Providing plants with necessary antioxidants helps protect the photosynthetic apparatus by scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS) that cause damage from excess light. UV light exposure can impact the xanthophyll cycle by either enhancing its photoprotective role or causing damage, depending on the intensity and type of UV radiation. UV exposure can trigger the synthesis of more xanthophyll cycle pigments to increase the plant's capacity to dissipate excess energy, but it can also cause direct damage, particularly to Photosystem II, and may lead to a decrease in the de-epoxidation state (DEPS ratio) which indicates a reduced capacity to dissipate excess energy. Plants can respond to UV stress by increasing the synthesis of xanthophyll cycle pigments, such as violaxanthin and zeaxanthin, to improve their photoprotective capacity. UV-induced changes in xanthophyll cycle pigments can be linked to a plant's overall tolerance to high radiation stress. The xanthophyll cycle helps protect against photoinhibition, which is especially important when the plant is exposed to high levels of both UV and visible light. High doses of UV radiation can directly damage photosynthetic components, including the proteins, lipids, and pigments in the thylakoid membranes. Exposure to UV radiation can have a mixed effect on the de-epoxidation state (DEPS ratio) of the xanthophyll cycle pigments. In some cases, UV can inhibit the conversion of violaxanthin to zeaxanthin, resulting in a lower DEPS ratio and a reduced capacity for energy dissipation. However, the total pool of xanthophyll cycle pigments may increase, and this enhanced pool size could provide a greater potential for photoprotection despite a lower DEPS ratio. The xanthophyll cycle works alongside other mechanisms, such as the accumulation of flavonoids (UV screens), to protect the plant from UV-induced damage. Blue light repairs 100% UV-induced damage in plants through a process called photoreactivation, which uses a light-dependent enzyme called photolyase. This enzyme uses energy from blue and UV-A light to directly reverse the damaging pyrimidine dimers in the DNA caused by UV-B radiation, a key mechanism for maintaining the plant's genetic integrity. After carbon, light, water, temperature, and nutrients, the limiting factor of a plant's growth is often its own internal factors or the amount of a key ingredient. Chlorophyll concentration is one such factor, as the amount of this pigment limits how much light can be captured for photosynthesis. These compounds absorb UV radiation and accumulate in the epidermal layers of leaves to shield inner photosynthetic tissues. The plant may increase leaf thickness or deposit more cuticular wax, creating a physical barrier to the radiation. The plant will produce more enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidants to neutralize the reactive oxygen species (ROS) produced by the UV-B radiation. The plant activates enzymes, including photolyases, to repair DNA damage caused by the UV-B. These repair mechanisms are critical for preventing permanent genetic mutations. While protective measures are activated, a high dose delivered over a short period can cause stress that overwhelms the plant's defenses. Photosynthesis is highly sensitive to UV-B. A high dose can inactivate Photosystem II (PSII), damage thylakoid membranes within the chloroplasts, and reduce chlorophyll content, which lowers the plant's overall photosynthetic capacity. Despite repair mechanisms, high UV-B doses can inflict persistent damage on the plant's DNA. The overproduction of reactive oxygen species can cause oxidative stress, leading to the oxidation of lipids and proteins and disrupting cellular function.

Had some issues with her. Thought the ph was off cause my cheap ph meter told me so. i flushed her and got 6.14 from the runoff so I think i had my light too close for too long before moving it and i needed to start adding some calmag but it was most likely my light being to close. She has some burnt trichomes on her and a decent amount of crispy leaves but shes looking better with every water. If anyone can tell me anything that could help that would be greatly appreciated.

Nice plant clearly she wi be a green pheno the small bonsai version is purple :) Not problem at all but i noticed something. She may be a bit hermie because the bracets are so strange. I am not sure yet may be the nature of the gentics. Anyways all good she is developing buds but slower than the other one Lamp is now on 11 hours and off 13 hours. Every week 15 minutes was taken off and after 4 weeks here we go. Strated 12/12 and now 13/11 wanted try to imitate the nature as the light days are getting shorter. Fertilization has changed no more epsom salt from this week and I will stop giving nitrogen as well from next week. Let's see what happnes next Hehe :)

I finally started flowering the crescendo rbx1 and I’ve got to say, she looks great! Green stems and leaves. She fills out this 5x5 pretty well and I’m happy with it. Plucked a couple leaves that blocked prime bud sites and weaved her long arms outwards to fill up my tent and get more light penetration.

Day 78. Visited outdoors garden. Girls in ground grows way bigger than in pots. Biggest strain Lemonade Og. Same as indoors all Whiteys almost finished. My friend does this run, i had no time, all they got is my soil mix and fishmix by biobizz in veg. Those Autos are really good, but all so different, pattern stays the same indoors vs outdoors. Indoor girls can't get back. This is 4sure my last attempt in mixing outdoors with indoors, girls never loved it at mines. One Whitey is almost done, she needs just good flush for a week plus, in two weeks both Diesels will go aswell. Lemon Og is the long runners, but like i predicted, they grow huge plants, just not in this run ;))) Ill give a go for Whiteys and Lemon Ogs indoors one day soon, despite my promise not to grow Autos ... ;)))) Maybe i give FastBud a go vs them. Have big respect to theirs products. Day 81. Had too easy 3 night shifts, even was answering grow questions ,))) So ... Came home and did what i had to do - Great Flush. As suspected Whiteys are smallest, fastest to flower and fastest to finish, one will be chopped in a week. Lemonade OGs are bigest, but latest to flower. One Diesel has really nice colours, but its DEFICIENCY ;))) Anyway, can't get my issue, maybe its not light shock, maybe my roots don't get same airflow as in greenhouse, where they basically stand on two planks with good gap in-between and even after. For next grow ill buy trays .Always doubted do i need them, but sometimes i do, so its time for upgrade. I wanted to get answers and made proper flush. Each plant got 50 Liters of water 7.0 ph and after that : 80 ppm, 6.2 ph , 1Liter for each plant to reload soil ph. Future will show, or maybe will confuse me even more ;))) I am not expecting any harvest from those autos, i gave away more than 20 plants, those where left purely for taste, but to crack why my plants from outdoor don't grow inside, i would love to. Ich werde immer wieder verschiedene Pflanzen der gleichen Zucht dokumentieren und nach der Geschlechtsbestimmung dann Herausfiltern, welche zwei Pflanzen für die Fertigstellung des Diaries in Frage kommen. My OG Kush plant is a medium-sized beauty, but it's definitely the star of the show when it comes to growth. The nodes are nice and tight, and it's just exploding with new growth on every branch. I've never seen anything like it! Okay, This past week has been absolutely fantastic! The weather has been incredible, and I've been able to keep the windows open almost the entire time. My plants are thriving in the humidity, and the VPD has been perfect. Everything just feels so balanced and in check.
