Hey hey growmies! another longer week, as I wanted to show these girls bouncing back from some problems I ran into with my Kratky experiment. about halfway through the week my plants started drooping and showing signs of overwatering, my guess is either the plant outgrew her air roots or the reservoir was too hot, inhibiting the plants ability to take up oxygen. either way, a quick peek at the roots showed some very healthy looking noodles, so I decided to not take any chances and come up with a solution that would solve both those problems. I took a 3 litre container, put a coat of primer and black paint on it to keep light out, then a layer of plumbers tape to bounce some of the grow lights off of the container, theoretically keeping the heat out, some other things I could have done was paint it white, or put some wall insulation around it. I could have also kept my jars and tried some troubleshooting, fill them less and more often. but I am happy with the roots created by Kratky, that's the nice thing about that system, it forces the roots to grow more horizontally, the roots have now created a sturdy foundation for low stress training and are perfect for placing into DWC. so that's what I did, I added a tiny pump and air stone, and for now both plants will sit in this tiny container, The Runtz will be moved to the tent as soon as possible, hopefully before these girl's roots get entangled, If that does happen, I will have to trim back some of the Runtz roots, I don't want to hurt the autoflower. now you've likely wondered what is up with the host of deficiencies the plants are showing, honestly that's just neglect on my part. I can tell there's damage from overwatering, pH fluctuations and even some lockouts. I am more on top of it now, the pH is more stable, the plants are getting oxygen and will recover plenty before flower. Plus I get to show off how hardy ruderalis is, look at the auto-flower compared to the photo period, she barely cares about the high temps, pH fluctuations all she appears to want is more food, so I have increased the ec to 1 ms, but most importantly, ill keep the pH in a range where they can actually take up the nutrients now That's it for now Growmies, Thanks for checking out my diary. Tuesday 30th . Flushing started today.

Hello,, fin de semaines 11, floraison 5. Je dirais que dans l’ensemble tous ce passe correctement,, les buds se développent, elles commencent à prendre en volume. Et de plus en plus de cristaux apparaît aussi. L’odeur est aussi bien plus présente, j’ai donc mît mon filtre à charbon. La gorilla Cbd me semble très prometeuse, elle est très collante déjà avec une odeur délicieuse. La critical n’est pas en reste n’ont plus avec des note de parfum différent mais tout aussi délicieux,, 🤩 Pour l’arrosage cette semaine, en milieu, j’ai juste utilisé un peu de bio-bloom, histoire de pas trop les sur-fertiliser. Voilà voilà, c’est à peu près tout pour cette semain... Happy grow...😎

This time I'm giving less. I'm going to try Pieters' handbook video (Canna) for mineral fertilizer (Canna). With 30-40% water content in the soil, I'm only watering what is consumed. For this, I got myself a parcel scale that is accurate to the gram up to 40 kg. This needs to be tested. Day 33: 3L bottle water EC 0.35 + 0.4ml/l CalMAg , 3ml/L Vega . PH 6.07 DIY Project fixed my Problem : + Top Values : 25.4°C ; 57%rH + Bottom Values : 23.0°C ; 64%rH Day 32 1L bottle water EC 0.35 with 0.4ml/L CalMag , PH 6.10 . Reduce EC in some spots . Build a shadow plane with reflective foil (diamnond tent foil). my new light is large as hell , and heating all around lol . this DIY project should fix it . Day 29 2.5L bottle water with 0.4ml/L CalMag 3.3ml/L Vega , PH 6.07 +

ENGLISH VERSION BELOW Wie ich im letzten Update geschrieben habe, fällt dieses hier etwas größer aus und enthält auch mehr Fotos und Videos. Die Pflanzen haben sich gut entwickelt, waren aber mittlerweile zu groß für ihre kleinen Töpfe und zeigten Anzeichen von Wurzelstress. Ich habe sie daher in 9-Liter-AirPots umgetopft, die ich noch von einem alten Projekt übrig hatte. Als Substrat verwende ich eine 70/30-Mischung aus Canna Coco Professional und Peligran Perlite von Knauf. Ich liebe dieses Zeug – man kann es praktisch nicht überwässern. Die Wurzelballen habe ich mit etwas Mycotrex von Biotabs bestreut. (Mycorhizzae) Um ehrlich zu sein: Ich war einfach zu faul, neue Stofftöpfe zu kaufen, also dachte ich mir, warum nicht die alten AirPots wiederverwenden :-) Mal sehen, wie sie sich darin machen. Ich habe die Pflanzen auch in ihre „endgültige“ Umgebung gestellt – ein 120x120-Zelt (4×4 für meine imperialen Freunde ;-) – und ab jetzt werden sie über meinen geliebten Ebbe-/Flut Eigenbau versorgt. Ich habe es vor 10 Jahren gebaut, und es ist immer noch ein echter Segen. Einmal am Tag werden die Pflanzen mit Nährlösung aus einem 200-Liter-Tank (52 Gallonen) geflutet. Leider bedeutet das auch, dass ich euch nicht mehr sagen kann, wie viel Nährlösung jede Pflanze genau bekommt – sie nehmen sich einfach, was sie brauchen. Das neue Zelt wird mittels eines AC Infinity Controller 69 klimagesteuert, sodass ich die Bedingungen deutlich besser im Griff habe. Ich versuche, einen VPD von etwa 1,2 zu halten. Die Klimaanlage ist auf 22 °C (~71 °F) eingestellt und der Luftbefeuchter hält die Luftfeuchtigkeit bei etwa 62 %. Offtopic: Ich musste eine große Lemon Orange-Mutterpflanze räumen, um Platz für die vier Humboldt-Mädels zu schaffen. In den nächsten Tagen werde ich sie zurückschneiden müssen. Was demnächst ansteht: In den nächsten Tagen werde ich die Pflanzen toppen. Die abgeschnittenen Spitzen werde ich versuchen, als potenzielle Mütter zu bewurzeln – vielleicht ziehe ich ja ein DNA-Los :-). Meine Frage an euch diese Woche: Mit welchen Substraten und Bewässerungssystemen habt ihr schon herumexperimentiert – und was hat euch am meisten überzeugt? The plants were coming along nicely but the were to big for their tiny pots and showed some root stress. I transplanted them into 9 Liter AirPots which I had laying around from an old project. The substrate is a 70/30 mix of Canna Coco Professional and Peligran Perlite from Knauf. I love this stuff. You basically can't overwater it. I sprinkled the root balls with some Mycotrex from Biotabs (Mycorhizzae) Tbh I wast just too lazy to buy new fabric pots so I thought why shouldn't I use these old AirPots :-) We'll see how they perform. I also placed the plants in their "final" habitat which is a 120x120 (4×4 for my imperial friends ;-) and from now on they get fed by my beloved DIY-Ebb and Flow system. I built this 10 years ago and it's still a charm to have. Once a day the plants will get "flooded" with nutrient solution from a 200 L (52 gallon) tank below. Unfortunately this also means I can't tell you how much nutrient solution they received anymore as they just take as much as they need. This tent is climate controlled by an AC Infinity controller 69 so I should be able steer them way better. I try to keep them at a VPD of around 1.2. I have my AC set to 22°C (~71°F) and my humidifier keeps the tent around 62%. Offtopic: I had to evict a big Lemon Orange Mom to make space for the 4 Humboldt girls. I will have to cut her back in the next days. Upcoming: I'm going to top them in the next few days I will try to keep the tops as potential mothers if I hit the DNA lottery :-). Oops, things started from seed on May 20, so that makes these about two months (56 days) In other words, this is week eight and a picture of each plant after defoliation slightly. Ok, so now I got rid of the wrong pics for the wrong week and took current pics for the correct week. In the last few days, major development has happened that is not like any bag seed I’ve ever grown. One of the gelato phenos has colas that are 24 inches or more, that 2 feet! Amazed…2 more weeks. 😜

Day 45 in flower... Trichomes are about 80% milk and no amber... The paint and big Z are 7-9 weekers and orange cake is 9-10... Def few weeks on the orange cake... But getting close to how I like it on the other two... The smells are outta this world... Orange cake smells like orange cake... Very orange like it's nuts... Never smelt anything like it tbh... The paint is a different pheno than previous ones because there's usually a chemical skunk smell but this is a fruity pebble smell with layers of earth smell and a sticky presence that doesn't go away for a long time lol... The big Z is another sweet smelling but more along the smell of a mouth full of Skittles and that dirt earth smell aftertones... They're awesome and I'm really excited! Day 46 They fattened up over night! Coming to n end... I did find little clusters of amber trichomes on the paint and I can't find many clear on the big Z... So it's right where I want it!

05/19/2021 Week #7 flower. Gave her a good rinse today she was covered with pollen from nearby trees, drinking more water took 2 full two liter bottles before any runoff, soaking it up like a sponge. Couple hours later fed her some (1-3-3-1.5) N-P-K-calcium I anticipate two more weeks till harvest but we will see. Just got to keep her hydrated for next couple weeks. Apparently she is perking up! after taking a rest for a week or so. And putting on new flowers, and Tangie parentage is very identifiable in her SMELL! WOW Enjoy the videos.🙏 Ps. I decided to fix floppy stem, hopefully it will now put more effort into finishing flower! Will she swell in last weeks??

I cut another part of the girls, and the total is even greater than the first part! We wait another week for the final sums, but right now the flavor is unique.

Shes 82 inches tall and we just hit 14/10 light cycle. I noticed shes starting to put out more pre flowers so I think this will mark the end of veg. She got some rain water this week and a nice strong batch of compost tea. I wanted to get a preventative mold spray on the plant so I mixed of some aloe with a little baking soda and let it soak in. I followed with a foliar spray of the compost tea, also trying to remove the honeydew on the leaves cause by spotted lanternflys in the maple tree above. It was not very affective and will need to wash it off this week, and also think of a way to get it to stop fast because it looks like the plants are transitioning into flower. I'm seriously moving the pots somehow to a safer location.

Love the amount of growth. Pruned a bit just to let light in but i cut as little as possible. If anyone has any suggestions of what to do or if you think im doing something wrong please tell me. This is only my 3rd plant ever so i have alot too learn and dont mind criticism
