Another solid week, I've upped the EC of the solution a bit to keep her going as she transitions into flower. Starting to get a sweet smell now and I see a few purple pistils mixed in as well. Things are about to get fun!

Plantas con flores realmente muy llamativas, una de ella con ese color purpura oscuro y otra con tonos purpuras que la hacen resaltar por su brillante capa de tricomas. la planta es bastante vigorosa, hay que tener muy en cuenta la altura siempre, es una planta que echa unos estirones espectaculares, se debe turorar por completo para lograr un buen rendimiento .

First time growing autos and ready to go again, smoothie got the toxcicity, well that's what we settled on eventually but by slightly diluting the feed next time I don't think we will have an issue,.. Zkittles was straight forward, took to lst, enjoyed all her feed,.. all in all very very happy and autos specifically fastbuds autos will be continually ran from now on for me... Very happy 👌👍

06/07/2024 : almost done, waiting a few days more to harvest the other half. With direct lighting, lower buds are getting purple too. I vaped a 5 days dried sample : of course it didn't taste good yet but there was a noticeable fruity touch and a powerfull earthy one. I experienced long lasting light stone effect, quite surprising for me! I'll recheck after 2 weeks curing. 06/10/2024 : no camera today so sorry for poor quality pics. I trimmed dried buds and got 43g with a decent amount of kief (from trim then shaked) that turned in 3.2g hash. All this just with top buds...😀 Then I checked BB and saw that every upper buds turned purple so I decided to harvest a second time and let all the green material on the plant for another time. I removed all fan leaves and biggest sugar ones, debudded and got 176g wet buds (part 2) that went to drier.

Hello Growers and Tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 Info and pictures were taken at day 12 of flower. Nice progress this week. There's plenty of new growth. She hasn't grown upwards as much as the other ladies, only about 5 cm this week. BUT she's got a darker green color, stronger smell than all the others. It's smell is unique and very strong. Not sweet, VERY pungent, it's a slap in the face kind of smell. Her bud formation is also more advanced than all the other girls. That's something I need to watch out for because she's an early finisher. Supposedly finishes in 40 - 45 days. Feeding 1,5L each, every other day. Will be increasing as they ask for more. How do they ask for more? When feeding if the soil is drier than normal I give a 150-200ml increment of water. I do that until they stop feeding so much then i just maintain that amount. I start reducing if it takes longer to dry. That works good for me. The old finger in the dirt trick. 👍 Nothing like knowing exactly what your ladies need first hand. That's it for now. Welcome to Week 8! All seems to be going well. Two of the Apple Betty plants have fan leaves that are yellowing, but I think it’s because they are getting close to harvest time (about 2 weeks out). I’m trying to maintain a temp of 75-80F and 60% humidity.

Day 8 - I topped off each of the solo cups with a little more soil. Might just be my lighting but the leaves are looking kinda light in color to me. Other than that everything seems to be going well. Day 9 - Leaf color looks fine now, probably just the white balance in the photos. I picked up some free worm tea from my local hydro shop today and gave most of it to my outdoor garden (no cannabis) and a small portion to the ladies in the tent. It's looking like they're almost large enough to transplant but I still haven't set up my larger tent yet. Soon! Day 12 - Finished setting up my new tent and transplanted the ladies. Tent is 100x100x200cm and I now have 2 300w 2nd Gen Roleadro LEDs. Going to see if this Cellmax Rootbooster makes any difference in the transplant. I'd noticed the 3BOG was looking kinda droopy lately. It was also the only transplant that didn't go smoothly so hopefully it will make it through all this stress. Not sure what was causing the drooping originally though, all plants have been cared for the same until now. Day 14 - Noticing some light curling on the leaves. I'm thinking it's just the low humidity but I moved the lights up a few inches just to be safe. I haven't given them a full watering yet in the new 3 gallon pots so maybe the humidity will rise once they get some water. (Humidity up to 34% a few hours after watering)

Today 7/30/19, day 57 and the start of week 9. I'm still continuing to alternate between days with my pesticide treatment (especially after finding that bug living on one of hulkberries fan leaf) and thrive alive green daily foliage spray as a prophylactic solution against any possible pests or mold going into these last few dog days of veg. I will flush them with distilled ph'd water for two days this weekend in preparation for flower. Then I'll start them on some "flower fuel" bloom booster on top of my secret for success flower recipe at 1/4 of the recommended strength. Outside of that still no adverse issue to report for the end of the 8th week. After my last trim, they both have responded very nicely, I was kind of worried about fat banana stalled growth. But one thing I noticed when I topped her at the 6th node, yes the main stem stopped growing but it developed many bud sites up and down every stem. Whereas hulkberry was topped at the 8th node, she has mainly focused on developing long stems and only 2 or 3 bud sites along her stems. Even though hulkberry in structure, is much bigger than fat banana and has a way bigger root system. Fat banana is bushier and has developed way more bud sites than hulkberry. I can't tell which strain will yield the most at this point only time will tell! Also, a big shout out to "J"@RQS, thank you for the excellent customer service. Another reason why Royal Queen Seeds is top 3 in breeding!!

This week they got their last feeding today by top dressing the medium working it in the top couple inches and getting thoroughly drenched with some calmag and fox farms kangaroots microbe liquid. Shouldn't have to do anything from here on out except water and admire the ladies.

Temperature influences the rate of enzymatic reactions involved in aerobic respiration. In low temperatures, enzymatic activity will slow down, thus reducing the rate of aerobic respiration. Moisture will not transfer from a saturated atmosphere to another if that air is already at or above its saturation point, meaning the air can't hold any more water vapor. Once I understood that water is produced as a by product during cellular respiration, specifically at the very end of the electron transport chain (ETC) where electrons are finally transferred to molecular oxygen, the higher the RH of the air, the more resistance there is for more moisture to be added to that environment, and effects the ease with which it does so. But none of that water comes from the pot; it's pulled from the air. If you run high daytime RH, your medium/pot is 100% reliant on transpirational root pull to move water. ZERO evaporation happens across the atmosphere if the tent air has high RH%, the medium cannot release its water through evaporation. Once a canopy develops, light no longer slowly wicks and evaporates from the topsoil. The Soil-Plant-Atmosphere Continuum (SPAC) describes the continuous pathway and process of water movement, driven by a gradient in water potential, from the soil, through the plant's roots, stem, and leaves, and finally evaporating into the atmosphere through transpiration. There is evaporation, there is transpiration, and then there is evapotranspiration; Evapotranspiration (ET) is the combined total of two processes: evaporation (water lost directly from soil and surface water into the atmosphere) and transpiration (water released from plants to the atmosphere through their leaves). Evapotranspiration represents the total amount of water that moves from the medium into the air. There is no such thing as a medium with too much water, only a medium that retains too much for too long. The water must always flow efficiently from one atmosphere(Medium) to another(Air) in a timely manner. Moisture is a critical factor for bacterial growth and decay. Dictating how long it's allowed to sit in any one location for any given period is a key preferred control. To ensure a net reduction in a bacterial population, the rate of removal (ET) must exceed the rate of bacterial growth (decay rate), which is often modeled as a growth rate for the specific bacterium under the given conditions. By optimizing daytime VPD, we also optimize conditions for bacterial growth to explode exponentially above 77°F.. If water is allowed to sit in a medium without an escape within a timeframe, nothing good will happen. IF High RH is maintained overnight as well as during the day, placing 100% of water movement at the behest of daytime transpiration, roots can only pull where they can reach, and if soil is compressed above a certain point, moisture will become trapped in a medium with no way of moving day or night. This will begin the countdown for decay to take hold. When water stagnates in a medium, it loses oxygen, creating anaerobic conditions that foster the growth of harmful microorganisms like bacteria and fungi, which can produce toxins and disease vectors. Thigmomorphogenesis, the process by which plants respond to mechanical stimuli like touch by altering their growth and development, results in significant morphological changes to improve survival against mechanical perturbations. This complex response involves sensing touch and initiating physiological and genetic responses, leading to changes in form and structure over days or weeks. The process is triggered by physical forces such as wind, rain, or touch. Plants adapt to these stimuli by changing their shape and structure, which may include slower growth, thickened stems, or altered leaf development. Plants possess sophisticated mechanisms to detect even subtle mechanical stimuli and initiate responses. A variety of molecules, including calcium ions, jasmonates, ethylene, and nitric oxide, are involved in signaling these mechanical inputs. Touch can induce the expression of genes that encode proteins for calcium sensing, cell wall modification, and defense mechanisms. A plant exposed to constant wind may become shorter and sturdier. A plant that is touched frequently might grow more slowly to conserve energy and develop thicker cell walls. These changes increase a plant's resilience and ability to survive in harsh environments. Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. Been a great week, not much to say on the dynomyco as it's early stages but im sure to see major improvement over the next week! I will say at this early stage though I do have alot of stable new growth so shows something is working in them roots but as for my females now, wow it's already shown it's work there as I used it on transfer and mixed Into the medium of the rear females so I'm impressed being a first time user! I will say i have learned alot about it following ari and the firebudz team on Instagram, so if anyone needs any pointers check them out they run classes too!
