Week 22 of our painful result on the mothers. Reveg. Is full on and the plants are all trying desperately to figure out how to flower again. A couple days ago I was resolved to the fact that this cycle of mothers was not going to be anywhere near our acceptable standards for a high quality bud harvest. We lamented and cried a little…. Then we got ridiculously high to numb the pain…. And then I had a brilliant thought! The whole purpose has been to pollinate clones this whole time. Now that our stable of clones are well into rooting and reveg. We can simply use the mothers for breeding instead and salvage a harvest of high quality buds with the clones! It’s not an ideal situation and will result in less smokable buds but that said (and as per the outdoor photos), quantity won’t be a problem this year as usual😉. I figure a week or two to see what happens with em and we’ll commence the sperm spray😎. We’ve also taken some additional steps and commenced with impregnating the Spliff strawberry on a couple of select branches. This plant is proving a beauty as expected - even despite a little fasciation she’s a monster🤩🤩. Method - we placed some pollen into a brown paper bag (both some SOG in one and some 707 in another. - we marked 2 branches with zip ties to keep track of which pollen is where. - we wrapped the branches in each bag and twisty tied it closed to the stem base for about 12 hours. - after remove the bags and to prevent further pollination on the rest of the plant we sprayed down the pollinated branches and then the entire plant with a light mist of water. When ur outdoors this isn’t perfect science and there will be some additional seed that pops out elsewhere. Regardless, it’s a guarantee the 707 is viable but I’m none too sure about the Skywalker stuff. It may have been subjected to moisture while in storage and could be inert at this point. No telln for a few weeks🤞. The dutchy system, despite significant time to set up has been better than expected - all the plants are happy, added a Skywalker clone to the mix for flowering as well. They seem to be taking to the Druid nutes just fine. Great system and she’s pretty much on cruise control right now👌. All told - the pollen chuck is not yet a complete failure. We’re definitely gonna have some cross beans - they only question that remains is how many different strains. Thanks again for hanging with the longest grow ever👍👊. Background/Repetitive Nonsense These plants will be the two mothers this growing season that will be utilized for stage 2 of the pollen chucking project. We’ll be taking clones and stressing the genetics for some fem. pollen using colloidal silver. Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel with landrace genetics, we’re effectively skipping initial hybrid crossing and stabilization, going straight to the polyhybrid mix. I call it the shotgun approach to selective, unvetted and amateur breeding on a micro scale😉. These 2 parent strains will form the basis for 8-10 different F1 polyhybrid combinations and a further S1 back cross of each of the mothers. Not only should we be able to preserve the genetics for both mothers in feminized form but we’ll also be running an entire family of new hybrids after seeding out clones from each on the initial lineup of this summers photoperiods. Method is pretty simple here; once we’ve got our pollen off the two mothers we’ll be clipp’n clones on 4 select strains that have proven results from various respected breeders. We’ll be using those for pollination purposes in what is expected to be a 10 plant recirculating Dutch bucket hydro system. ***Update*** The feminization process didn’t take at all with the strawberry or the Skywalker so it’ll be reg. Seed crosses with only Skywalker and some other 707 Headband that we have in the vault. ********* Strain details: Parent strains for self pollination - Skywalker Kush by Reserva Privada Classic kush effects and earthy aroma. The strong kush element of this cultivar will compliment any cross. - Spliffs Strawberry by Spliff Seeds Incredible mix of flavourful terpenes and hard hitting high THC. She’s got some Herer as well as some Diesel in ‘er so an obvious choice for any cross as well. ***UPDATE*** The strawberry had to come out of this breeding run to wait for a better mother that hasn’t been attacked by aphids. It’s been a tough battle this season and we’ve had to make a couple of heartbreaking sacrifices already. Parent Strains for cross pollination ***UPDATE*** We added another 2 strains to the mix just in case we need to spot swap for some more variety. - Ghost Train by AMS Seeds A cross of Alien OG x Ghost Train Haze. Never tried the strain but I’ve heard only good things. This one might be worth mixing with the Strawberry so we’ll see how it goes. ***UPDATE*** Sadly - the ghost train turned out to be an auto so cloning her out as part of the breeding project is a no-go. Really disappointed about this but at least we still have a ready backup strain on the lost coast og to take her place. - Boogie Nights by AMS Seeds A cross of Kalijah, aka afghani/skunk/diesel/blue heaven X Juanita, aka NYC Diesel/Reina Madre). No idea here so naturally I’m interested😉. ************** - Lost Coast OG by Emerald Triangle Pakistani Kush x Lemon Thai x Chemdawg #4. Essentially a classic, west coast combo of landrace kush genetics that Cali is famous for, mixed with hard hitting Chemdawg #4. ***UPDATE*** The Lost Coast is a winner of a plant. Still outdoors and in veg. Looks like it’s recovered from the aphid attack. Might consider trying to take another cut of this and just rooting it in a pot for pollination. At this point, what the hell and if we could salvage anything it would be a positive. ***** - Spliffs Blueberry by Spliff Seeds (Chocolate Thai x Afghani #1 x Highland Oaxaca) x Northern Lighhts Special. Only 1 bean of this left and the whole purpose is to blend the best of Spliffs Berry strains as a tribute. Awesome breeder and they’ve been very kind to us over the years. - Northern Light by Royal Queen Seeds NL means nuff said. A combo of 11 unknown strains believed to originate from the west coast of North America. This cultivar is a great take on these classic genetics and a perfect compliment to just about any cross. A biased fave of ours.👍 - White Widow by Seedsman Brazilian Sativa x South Indian Indica. This classic strain has been unluckily elusive for us the last couple years. We know the quality of seedsmans version of this cultivar having grown it in the past. Sadly, a very strong performer that never made it to harvest due to an uncontrollable aphid infestation. And we’re only at step 1.... still gonna need an assist with pheno hunting all of the crosses so if anyone’s interested in running the testers (when we finally get to that point) just let me know👍😎. She's starting to stack and fill out. I added a second circulation fan for the bottom of the canopy. The growdots and recharge has worked well for me so far. I am running a very user friendly setup, and have been extremely lucky so far.

hi, one more week, the height of the plants with sativa genetics has gotten very out of control, and they were only there for 24 days at 18h. I'm going to lose a lot of performance for it... Since I started growing the plants, they showed slight symptoms of virosis, and the acid dough plant seems to be affecting it quite a bit, showing the typical mosaic and curved leaves. Not everything is bad since the plants show good health apart from the virus, but between the uncontrolled height and the virus problem I am somewhat disappointed with the growth. This week consists of July 23, 2022 thru July 29, 2022 - Seeds were planted on May 27th, 2022 and they all sprouted on May 31st, 2022 (~4 days) Continued on schedule of 2 times do feed and then one water with only PH'd water. LIGHTS: I'm running the lights on an 18-6 schedule. I have the dark time scheduled from 11am to 5pm since the lights increase temperature and during that time the outside temperature is at its highest so it seems to be easier to maintain proper temperature ranges with the light off during that period. Swapped out the metal halide bulb to the high pressure sodium on July 6th since the plants have been in flower. WATER: July 23rd: ~1500 ml of 6.1 PH and 1500 PPM. 30 ml/gal of Big Bloom 0 ml/gal of Grow Big 15 ml/gal of Tiger Bloom 0 ml/gal of Cal-Mag July 25th: ~1200 ml of 6.1 PH and oxygenated water July 27th: ~1500 ml of 6.1 PH and 1500 PPM. 30 ml/gal of Big Bloom 0 ml/gal of Grow Big 15 ml/gal of Tiger Bloom 0 ml/gal of Cal-Mag July 29th: ~1500 ml of 6.1 PH and 1500 PPM. 30 ml/gal of Big Bloom 0 ml/gal of Grow Big 15 ml/gal of Tiger Bloom 5 ml/gal of Cal-Mag TEMP/HUMIDITY: A max of 90.0F and a min of 62.8F with an average of 78.8F. VPD was harder to maintain this week since it was in the high 80s and low 90s outside with the average being around 1.59. Whole week numbers> Temp - 78.8F avg - 62.8F min - 90.0F max Humidity - 52.7% avg - 21.0% min - 83% max VPD - 1.59 avg - 0.40 min - 3.20 max CO2: Floating ball is between .5 and 1. This lets a more gradual amount of CO2 to enter the tent and I now get a more stable level of CO2 that fluctuates between around 1000 ppm and 1300 ppm. The regulator is still plugged into the same outlet as the lights so it turns off on the same light/dark schedule. PAR: PPFD between 300-1500. The tops of some plants are getting the 1200-1400 range and some side leaves are getting in the 400-700 range. ISSUES: Nothing new. TECHNIQUES: I implemented some minor defoliation on some of the affected leaves and some leaf tucking.

Very nice plant to grow. Beautiful flowers covered with trichomes. The smell is very lemon citrus flavourt. She gave a bit of a stretch. I think she isn’t the biggest yielder but definitely quality over quantity. Later on the results. Very pleased sofar! I underestimate the density of the buds. Dry weight 375 gram of 5 plants. Pheno number 2 yielded almost 100 gram! Powerfull lemon flavour with a touch of sour. Running pheno number 2 again!

Lampe läuft auf 75%. Die Erde wurde mit 10g Bio Grow Pulver Dünger von Greenhouse Feeding angereichert. Zudem wurde heute gegossen und das Wasser mit Big Plant & Power Plant von Organics Nutrients versetzt. Schönen ersten Advent und bis zum nächsten Update 🏻

Finally chopped down and harvested. My best plant yet and that was all thanks to homegrown genetics for these killer genetics. If you haven't tried this guy yet, I absolutely beg you to. You will not be disappointed The Terps are straight Dank Ripe Black Cherry, that Superboof orange rind/hashy funkiness, and sum really nice earthy hash notes from the Pure Michigan. All comes together and almost reminds me of a really deep earthy cherry pie with a very slight Superboof orange influence. Very black cherry/Cherry Candy heavy. But not traditional "candy" you see now days. All around 10/10, I will be running Apple Junky and Garlic Applez next!

Day 21 from seeds they were transplanted and seem to have temporarily slowed down a few days now picking back up. Definitely different in plastic when I’ve been using fabric for the last little while. Beautiful colours and bushy structure. I’ll let the top stretch some more before I do any training. Hot sunny ☀️ wknd up here hopefully much share the same weather ✌️

During Week 3, Black Domina is still developing at a slower pace than expected and remains quite small for this stage. However, the plant looks healthy and stable, with no visible signs of nutrient burn, deficiencies, or pest issues. Growth appears compact, which suggests that the plant is currently focusing more on root development rather than above-ground growth. This can happen with indica-dominant genetics like Black Domina, especially in the early stages. Leaf color is consistent and healthy, indicating that the current feeding level is appropriate. A mild nutrient mix based on Hy-Pro Coco A & B is being used, keeping EC low to avoid stressing the young plant. The medium is kept evenly moist, and watering is done carefully to prevent overwatering, which could further slow growth at this stage. While overall size is still small, the plant shows signs of gradual progress and stability. With a stronger root system establishing now, more visible vegetative growth is expected in the coming week.

My Soaptini plant is looking amazing! The leaves are a really vibrant green, and they have this cool, almost waxy texture that makes them look super healthy. It's growing nice and bushy, and I'm loving the overall shape. This one's definitely a showstopper, and I can't wait to see how it blooms. Stay tuned for more updates on this beauty! The weather has been absolutely gorgeous this past week! We've been hitting that sweet spot of 70 degrees during the day, perfect for getting outside and soaking up some sun. Then, it cools down to a comfy 50 degrees at night, which is ideal for sleeping with the windows open. I've been loving all the fresh air! I finally got around to building that little wooden planter for my windowsill. It was a fun project, and now my regular plants have a nice new home. It really brightens up the room, and I'm thinking of adding some herbs to it soon. Maybe I'll even try growing some basil!

"Hi, I received my pH meter this week, so from week 6 onwards, I'm aiming for a pH value of 6.0 - 6.5. This week, I noticed that the plant in the small pot received too much fertilizer. The other two 7.5-liter fabric pots also received double the recommended amount according to the feeding schedule, but they don't show any signs of over-fertilization."

Day 106 The close-up view shows very healthy flowering development. Buds are stacking up nicely with dense clusters forming and plenty of white pistils still visible, showing that the plant is still actively flowering. The trichome production is already significant, giving the buds a frosty appearance. The sugar leaves around the buds are coated with resin, a good indicator of potency.

In the penultimate week, the buds are dense, resinous, and most of the trichomes are amber. The smell is surreal; I believe this will be a very significant harvest... In these 15 days before harvest, I start watering only with RO water and a pH of 6.2. At the beginning of the last week, and around 3 days before harvest, I flush with RO + Cleanse 10mL.
