What a beautiful strain Orange Hill Special is, nice and bushy, great internodal spacing, sturdy and healthy. Happier and happier with how this grow is going. The less beautiful parts on top are my doing, my blind as a bat FIM destroyed half the top of the plant. More patience next time... The super soil is still performing great and I´m pushing up the dimmer to get the ladies used to more light, very carefully because leaves are folding every time. Some of you might be happy to find my European recipe/shopping list for super soil. I tried to make it with widely offered products throughout Europe. Feel free to use it and elaborate on it. If one product is not available in your country, please check the brands at the bottom, which might be available in your country, and substitute. The only thing one could add to the recipe (which I did but forgot in the shopping list) is some Epsom salt. Fed them again with my permaculture tea, all seem to flourish and smells are starting to come from the plant, with that same distinct dankiness I had in earlier grows with this tea. See the germination page and other diaries for more info on my Perma tea. Now they were big enough, some might even say too big, to start the real training. I always love to give them a little bend the week before, to get used to the idea. With some sterilized bamboo sticks I pushed the plants down to expose their sexy undersides. Setted up this cutting of Skywalker. Having some initial problems with air and humidity. Hopefully is going to rain soon so humidity will rise a bit. Planning to do some LST and ScrOG. I'm helped by a friend because my skills are not good enough yet. Let me know if you liked the sequences! I'm trying to do some timelapse research as well. Raspberry is running the timelapse and compiling the video I'm trying to update every day or two. 😷7/12 Changed water due nutrients deposit. Clean start as the roots have touched the water. EC 1.5 Ph 6.2 😵Ps. light was set with VEG and BLOOM BOTH ON! Lol, hopefully this is the 5th day 😂

End off week 11, concluding week 7 off flowering: Hi(gh) Guys! Thanks for viewing my weekly update (i hope again?)! The girls are doing great. I have to come back on a previous statement, i said that 3 girls are ahead of the rest and up for an early harvest, although that is both true, actually there straight on schedule, and i think the rest is behind. The manual on this strain says they need 9 weeks and flowering week 7 is now concluded. They start to gain weight all three and the stems are beginning to bend. This upcoming week they will get their last nutrients, but week 9 they will only get water, so i can flush properly for the upcoming week and a half. End of week 9 they will be terminated, because my vaporizer is idle for too long already! As for the rest, they will need at least 2 or 3 weeks longer, because everywhere i look i see loads of white hairs, and i’m seeing forward to show you some off my biggest nugs ever! This is my first time on this website and i’m having a lot of fun. Earlier i'd grow my best round ever with 9 Gorilla Glue #4 ladieboys, what nice buds did they produce. But i guess the OG is going to be at least as close. That’s good for me because this is my favorite strain. Please leave a comment, and like my post. My account needs a little more love! Day 9: installed this Pro Co2 bucket in my grow tent 2 days ago. Really looking forward to see what this addition brings and if Co2 can really improve a run. Only time will tell Day 12: Everything is going good.. Added Foxfarm Acid Lovers dry fertilizer, scratched it into the top inch of soil about a tbsp and a half and watered good. I checked ph the other day and somehow soil ph was all the way up to 7.0 hopefully this FFAL will drop that a little. Also got some trifold poster boards and stapled sheets of mylar to them to reflect more light. 12/2 Ending week 2 gotta say everything is going as good as I could hope this lady is in full affect first time ever growing this strain and I can tell its a good one. Great genetics can't wait to see end result

Not much to say about this real first grow week’s start. Everything looks ok, steady growth at 40% light. I had to restart the control app a few times, therefore the broken graphs. At night times, the control software tries to attain optimum humidity rather than optimum VPD. That’s why VPD is dropping when the lights are out. CO2 is back to baseline – really wonder what the reliable values are … I found I have to silence the blowers when a timelapse photo is being taken. The shaking you see at the beginning of the grow video should not appear, or to a much less degree, in the future. Day 13 (July 30th) shows good, steady growth. Leaves are a bit spotty, although less then the processed images show. Something to be worried about? I would not currently … All are developing their 3rd nodes now. The controlling Raspberry Pi crashed last night when I tried to access it remotely … ;( – looks like the Connect software is in need of an update. The leaf temperature sensor is now really aimed at lady-to-be nr. 1’s leaves. Nothing to change that I see. I won’t cut the top yet, just watered the outer circle of the big pots slightly to encourage root growth. Day 14: Nice growth. First plant is now at 11 cm, and at 12 cm on day 15. Nothing special to report so far, except for I had to move the internal camera a bit upwards to keep little lady #1 in focus. Day 16 and last day of this week (Aug 2nd): The young ladies are now at about 14 cm tall. Growth looks very compact though. I think the two inside girls will lose their heads next week; I’d still prefer to have one or two more nodes available. Pictures of this day are taken at the end of the plants’ day. Notice their leaves are pointing upwards, which should be a sign that they want more light. I turned the lights up by another 20% for a total of 60 W now. Weather was pretty hot the last days so it wasn’t possible to stay in optimum VPD range but as long as growth is this satisfying I don’t mind. I will water them slightly at their next day start. Outside plant’s soil humidity might still be at around 58% officially, but drying starts at around 40% with this measurement and the sensors are placed quite closely to the stems so outer soil is dryer. I am preparing the plant water with some additions and a frequency imprint suing some Solfeggio and Schumann frequencies.

June 6: looking good. Very impressed with these Quebec Cannabis Seeds genetics. This and Bubble OG are great strong plants. June 7: check out coyowolves howling on video. June 8: more defoliation.

Smell is unreal, sweet candy shop sorta scente, buds are extremely hard so far like steel 🤞.... the tall scruffy thing in baxk, hasn't had the optimum PAR as you can see also, it was the only one in the gold label special mix (pre fertilised) media...

Afghan was a beaut and she would have stayed up longer if the rain had let up. The denseness of her buds is what we admire although it is also why she started to rot. The scent of her is strong and mouth watering. Overall we would grow her again outdoors, this was a strange year with the weather and it is unfortunate but we are quite sure every strain would rot just the same. Hopefully next year has a better balance but that is the way it grows outdoors. As for curing, it was not typical for us at all. First she was washed but Afghan was not trimmed nor was she properly managed, she hung for six days and went in a paper bag for moisture redistribution way to late. Aside from that we had to use a triple beam for an estimated weight and we were unable to get a wet weight so please take the number and outcome lightly. Bone dry does not mean she won’t be enjoyed, she will be made into hash and or edibles.

It's been an interesting week. I had to ask for help with resolving the intense smell coming from my garden... I can smell it from my driveway at this point.. I was advised that I probably turned my fan up way too high, which overloads the carbon filter on the end of my exhaust. I ordered another new one.. turned it down.. and I also had to cut down the cheese auto... all her trichomes were cloudy bit I definatly could have left her for another week... just couldn't handle the smell lol. Ask for help and you shall receive, thanks Growdiaries. And thank you Oozlefinch for the solid advise.. ✌️ I bought a rosin press this week and it's awesome.. she will be used for this grow as soon as things are ready. I cut out my backyard to plan for round #3 for all these plants.. plus a whole lot more! Process/ Environment changes: -Turned down my exhaust fan.. the carbon filter can't keep up with the amount of air being pushed through it.. in the water industry we would call this 'short circuiting'.... The Gorilla cookies is growing well. It's a tall plant with long nugs ( I hope the full out a lot more). I would recommend supporting the branches at this point in the grow. There's a slight smell coming off her and trichome production was late to start compared to most the other plants I have... I suspect she will go past 90 days unfortunately, but I'm excited to see what the finished product looks like. Hitting her with compost teas at a pH of around 6.7 That's it.. I'm on auto pilot at this point.. there's not much I can do except sit back and wait. Thank you Fastbuds

Day 78 - Starting week 12 and gave her two gallons of water with 5ML of MagiCal and 80ML of Sugardaddy per the Technaflora feed chart. She’ll get two doses of that and then straight pH’d water till the end. Day 80 - Nothing to update today other than she’s showing a bunch of gorgeous reds pistils mixed in with the yellow and oranges. She’s still got another couple days, I think, until she’s ready for some water. Day 82 - She was ready for water today, so gave her two gallons of water with her final feeding of MagiCal and Sugardaddy. It’ll just be straight pH’d water until harvest and thinking about 7-10 days or so. Day 83 - Just waiting for her to be ready to chop and she’s finally starting to fade out a bit, 7-10ish days left. Day 84 - The end of week 12 and she’s really starting to fade so don’t think she’s got too much longer, another week or so. Not showing a whole bunch of amber trichs but a few so hopefully she’ll finish off strong.

Harvest report for Ak47. Breaking ground to harvest was 91 days. Wet weight was 288 grams Dry weight =49g Power used for 13 weeks. 268.1Kw used on lighting. £80.43 at £0.30 a Kw Average 2.946 Kw a day =147 Watts power an hour during lights on. Dry weight from this grow. #1 49g #2 37g #3 46g #4 39g #5 51g #6 52g Total 273g True g/W 273÷147=1.85g/W This was one great grow and there are a few strains I'm really considering running again straight away. This strain is one that I want to grow again but give her a bigger pot. She has grown decent solid buds. One thing I have learnt during this grow is that the idea of cramming 9 autos into my tent was a stupid idea and trialling it with 6 plants was wise.
