Have grown same ( but Auto) multiple times successfully. Lower your lights and add a fan directed at the plants to increase stem strength. During veg I keep my lights between 2-4 inches from the plant, using T8 Phillips Silhouette High Output bulbs ( super cheap) until the last part of the veg stage. Interested to know how things go in soil.

Live in a Northern state and have several of these planted in soil outside. It is still near frost level some nights and not to be disgusting but my dog has urinated on them multiple times and they are still thriving. Moved the plants to an inaccessible location so it will be interesting to see what happens. Soil is nothing special. Something I had Hostas in from last year.....zzzzz Not sure how to post pics yet but they are growing as expected despite my dogs "contribution" ( he is +100 lbs)
