2019 Oct 12 day 20 of the 18/6 Skipped week 3 nute schedule and will enter week 4 transition nute schedule.

2019 Oct 9, day 17 of the 18/6 Some smell! Dumped week 2 nutes, filled res with Flush solution, will run for 24 hours before starting week 3 nutes.

Today Sept 25 in the AM concludes the 2nd full true day of the 18/6 Photoperiod. Its actually been kinda hard to figure out which was day 1 and which was day 2 since a day starts in the evening and finishes the next morning but I think I got this now! As of this writing the plants are getting ready to shut off for the day and pick up the start of day 3 in 6 hours. I started the plants with the same level of nutes as I'm using today in the grow week 1 concoction when measured terms of Electrical Conductivity (EC) using the full FloraNova Expert Recirculating formula guide which was generally 275~290 ppm. 110 of that came from the water source which is mountain spring well water. At lights out, I'm moving to add equal amounts of nutrient to the res to raise the levels to 400-600 total ppm with every effort to stay at 510ppm. ph 5.5

Germ 10 days Completes week 1 Week 2 started on Sept 23 with the first true week of veg. G10-V01-F00 Nutes are at half strength or lower. I plan to bump them just a tiny bit on V day 3

Day 6 of Germ We have seedlings!

I swear I could smell those buds through my laptop. Great experience. Some lazy buds you got there resting along side that grow tent!

Day 5 We wil have seedlings by the end of day 6 :)

Heya good stuff here. As grower who also uses hydroton, you should consider switching from those pellet starters to rockwool cubes. it will help keep your system free of debris. Good luck!

Day 4 since seed drop. Activity in about half of the cubes that I can see from looking in without disturbing anything. Always fearful of the upsidedown sprout. Climate control has cubes within +2F of 78F. 24/0 cycle. About 1/8th inch of the 275ppm nutes in the germ house at all times.

Day 2 Seeds in water for about 18 hours now. 75% +/- of the beans show some evidence of taproot. development! PHed rockwool cubes in 5.5ph water via GH's PH down. Created a seedling nutrient using only this seaweed plant food: FoxFarm's Kelp Me Kelp You. The water from the well is at 110ppm and I added enough kelp to raise the ppm to 275. The seedling mat is set at 78.0F and the plants are under a single VHO T5 6500k veg bulb.
