<span class="link_user">@Coconut</span>, Thanks
I collect rain from the gutter in a water butt. It's neutral pH and has no chlorine or added minerals, though I do pH it to 6.5 with 0.5ml/L kombucha vinegar as its natural and organic plus the plants love it
Every now and then I give them cooled water from rice or vegetables after boiling(watered down @ about 5-10ml/L) its good for the microbes.
If you use tap water you can use citric acid to disperse the chlorine (or leave it in an open container overnight)
Either way microbes don't like chlorine!
@@MrGr3en, That's really good advice if you have hard tap water, luckily my tap water is 40-50ppm and ph6.8-7.0  so very close to rain water.
