Load of marketing bull shit . Plants need light in the visible frequency range . Lumens are visible frequency. They want white light . That's what the sun pumps out . Suprise ! I use common led bulbs in a range from 3k to 5 k color spectrum. Essentially white light with a bias in the red or blue spectrum. Plants need 500 to 900 lumens of light . At the canopy! Why does every light merchant not mention this very important fact ! I don't care how powerful your light is . It's paramount to have the correct amount of light at the last canopy . Any led light can achieve this . Having an uneven canopy of plant tops will make this impossible. Plant management is far more important than the type of light . Any light will work great. If it's at 500 to 900 lumens at plant canopy . Plants need white light . A balanced spectrum. Because that's what the sun emits. All led lights called labeled white light will work. Don't worry if it's cool or warm white . It's not that important. I know from experience. Years of experience. So I laugh my ass off at these expensive fancy grow lights and merchants extolling the virtues of light spectrum. Fucking snake oil. Get a light meter from Walmart. Manage your canopy of tops . Get it even . Get 500 to 900 lumens to that canopy of tops . All you need to know .
