Hard to say without closeup pictures, but I think what you see are just the pre-flower calyxes, each stem has its own single calyx at the bottom of the branch. Do you see a pistil coming through this &quot;green ball&quot; ? If so, you&#039;re good to go. If this evolves and turn into bananas, you can gently remove the pollen sacs before they open.
