Hi <span class="link_user">@Cooklung</span>, I just use the sticks to help open up the canopy where possible, I donāt use any ties I just place the sticks in between some of the stems to help provide some separation from each other. I was using wire initially to lst the branches outwards towards the rim of the pots which worked great. I use scissors to do any defoliation as am I new to this myself so I wanted to use scissors in case I cause any damage stripping leafs off by hand. Good luck with your first grow!
