Too sticky for grinder! What now?

What do you do when the weed is too sticky for the grinder? What are my options? I use scissors to cut into small chunks, sometimes tweezers to pull little bits off. It takes too long and is very annoying because its like trying to cut through half dry sticky glue.

The pictures attached looks unrelated to your sticky grinder question or... Those buds in the pictures you attached looks like they need drying and curing before you even bother to grind them. When you deal with fresh from the branch bud like that they are sticky and moist, almost wet if you squeeze em hard enough. Immature and soft to the touch, a lot less brittle as one would expect if you are working with fresh flower in a grinder. If you still want to try them now, just pinch off the thing you want to use, pack it in aluminium-foil and vape it in a DIY vape on the stove. Taste will be worse than if it's cured bud, but better than grinding them and then smoking wet bud in a bong... Why would you want to run those flowers already in a grinder, is it the first time you grow weed? ;) Example: https://bucket.growdiaries.com/static/post/photo/95291/13430967_3e0543b4f9d5e75c46ca4ceb8a750f0b_m.jpg Those flowers going to need trimming also before the drying and curing, then we can discuss sticky buds... Am I the only one interpreting it this way; like adding a seed pack in a photo and ask why they produced such a massive harvest? Isn't this what the threads feature is for? Same with your other "question": 🍭 Candy Stripe Stem Trait 🍬 (Stabilized) "Contrasting purple/red with the green really grabs the eye. Photos dont catch the sheen of the tiny white hairs, or how the stripes look different at different angles. This trait is expressed reliably everytime since its an IBL. Are candy stripe stems something you would enjoy?" Isn't this just advertising at this point?

Use your ass-checks and rub them together real hard. You may be able to lay a rolling paper underneath and catch it all too.

Two things usually fix it. First, check the moisture: if the buds feel tacky and bend instead of snapping a little, they're still too wet, so give them a few more days of drying (jar at ~58-62% RH) and they'll grind much easier. Second, if they're properly dried and just very resinous, put the buds in the freezer for 15-20 minutes before grinding, since cold hardens the resin and they stop sticking. Use a grinder with a coarse, sharp teeth design and clean it now and then with isopropyl alcohol and a brush. If you cut by hand, wet the scissors blades with a bit of alcohol and the buds won't stick. Don't leave them in the freezer for long, because moisture condensation and brittle trichomes can cost you some quality.

Hard plastic quality grinders work well even the buds are super sticky, also wooden ones do the job. Surely breaking the buds into small bits helps as you mentioned. Hey if sticky buds are concern you have damn good flowers :D
