ShivaShanti Beginning of week 3 Fastbuds Outdoor Experiment.
Banana Purple Punch Auto is so far the leader in vigor and speed. Looks great so far. Indica Dominant leaves are wonderful looking. Just started 1/2 strength fertilizer. Salt based synthetic.
LSD25 Auto is second slightly less vigor and again Indica Dominant leaves. Looks great. Just started 1/2 strength fertilizer. Salt based synthetic.
Lemon Cherry Cookies Auto is still showing the lowest vigor out of the three. I have hopes that it is not stunted. But I know in my heart probably is stunted. I will not give up on it. Lets keep and eye on the one and see what happens. It may be a late bloomer. Just started 1/2 strength salt based synthetic fertilizer.
Orchid Fertilizer, its an experiment anyways. Lets see what happens. Once pre-flowers show I will switch to organic bloom nutrients. SuperThrive is also added to every watering.
We are beginning our dry season and I now will have the ability to control watering better. I will begin drying back and power feeding. I will keep drying back and power feeding for the entire grow. I will give plenty of water of course and monitor their health appropriately. We do not need to water everyday. Time to just leave them alone to enjoy the beautiful outdoor life.
Edit: Middle week update. We are growing with LSD25 and Banana Purple Punch. Lemon Cherry Cookies looks like its on its way downhill but I will allow it to grow and see what happens. Nice experiment. LSD25 is growing very fast and big and its even in the smallest pot haha. Smallest Pot=Biggest Plant. Thats a weird one. Maybe its just extra vigorous. So far the leader out of the 3 Fastbuds outdoor indica experiment.

ShivaShanti Mid week update.
I am seeing explosive growth with LSD25, even with a 3qt pot, LSD25 is growing vigorously and reminds me of Pound Cakes Speed. I am very happy with LSD25. Super healthy and growing very fast. Color is beautiful, stature is stout and hefty. This may be the one to watch in the outdoor purple experiment.
Banana Purple Punch is right behind LSD25. She is also growing vigorously and fast. We're at almost 3 weeks and we are seeing fast, healthy growth from these two varietals. Lets go Banana Purple Punch.
Now Lemon Cherry Cookies, she is struggling for absolutely no reason at all. Soil is exactly the same, she also has a one gallon pot. She should be growing super fast like her friends but nope. She is stunted and growing at a snails pace. She's not dead yet. Im hoping for some 3-4 week explosive growth. Maybe she will wake up and just surprise us all with her beauty. Im crossing my fingers haha. I want them all to do well. Lets give her a chance. Im not overwatering, im not even feeding her much at all, im allowing her to dry back. No rain right now. Only water I have been providing is by hand every other day or when she dries back. Ive done my best. It may have been an old seed. It could have gotten nipped by a nemotode or some type of fungus.

ShivaShanti Beginning 4th week with Fastbuds Purple Outdoor Experiment and I am just noticing pre-flowers. Very small pistals have shown.
Won't be long now and we'll see the stretch. The weather has been from 85 to 60s at night. Its fluctuating drastically right now. Its been very dry, very little rain, which is great because then I can control watering and feeding much better.
I have been drying back and power feeding dry soil. I haven't noticed any complaints from the plants.
I did trim back the LSD25 a bit, trying to redirect vigor from the main top into the side branches and it has worked. I trimmed all large fan leaves and the very top node. I did not top the plant, only forcing the bottom branches to catch the main top.
We will see if I was totally successful if we have 4 side branch colas and a main top cola at similar height during flower.
Banana purple punch is also doing very well right behind the LSD25. I did nothing to the Banana Purple Punch. I will leave it to be natural 100%.
Sadly we have lost Miss Lemon Cherry Cookies. Something happened. Either it was attacked by nemotodes as soon as she popped through the soil. Or the seed was just not great. It can happen. Had Strawberry Hazes that did the same thing.
I am very careful not to over water in the seedling stage, matter of fact I dry back before adding a touch of dechlorinated reverse osmosis water or rainwater.
So now we only have two for the Purple outdoor experiment. Lets continue to follow along and see what happens. I can't wait to see Purple flowers. Its getting chilly now in the 70s 80s and 60s 70s at night should be great weather for them. Not too hot.

ShivaShanti Update on my Fastbuds Purple Outdoor Experiment.
LSD25 is now in pre-flower and showing white pistils. Looking great but flowering very fast and at such a short height I am hoping she stretches up a lot more. But yield is unimportant too me anyway. I just grow for the beauty and joy of being a gardener. Lets keep and eye.
Banana Purple Punch has begun stretching now and is not showing pre-flowers or white pistils. Growing luscious green leaves and lime green stems. Oh what a joy to grow such a lovely looking plant. Beautiful and vigorously growing to the Sun.
Edit: added photos of my experimental medium blend. Foxfarm Ocean Forest, Foxfarm Happy Frog, Chunky Perlite, Normal Perlite, Peat Moss, Worm Castings, Bat Guano, Bone Meal. Mini Bonsai Lava Rock, BioChar and Mycroryzome? However you spell that. Seems to work very well. For autoflowers ive noticed that pot size is the most important factor is plant size. I suggest a 3gal pot. Ive tried 1/4 gal 3/4 gal, 1/2 gal, 1 gal, 1.5 gal and 3 gal turned out the largest autoflower plants ive every grown. Give it alot of space for rooting and less stress i feel.

ShivaShanti Fastbuds Outdoor Purple Experiment continues.
LSD25 (middle plant) is Flowering. No clue why. It could have been a drop in temperature a couple weeks ago. That could have triggered it. Or it could have been triggered by my gentle defoliation. I trimmed som fan leaves trying to help the side branches catch some vigor and come up a bit. Its fine, so I have a little LSD25 that is completely okay with me and I will allow it to continue its flowering until its complete.
Banana Purple Punch (tallest plant) is double the height over LSD25. It is starting pre flowers as well but still growing upwards which is a good sign. Now we were at average 80° F temps outside and we did experience some nights in the 60s that could have triggered flowering at these small sizes. Totally learning and its all an experiment anyway.
We lost Lemon Cherry Cookies a couple weeks ago. Lets just acknowledged that she did exist at one point haha.
Not much to say. Feeding and controlling water levels very carefully. Watering when soil is dried back. Feeding while watering. Lets continues to watch. I just would like to see some purple flowers haha. Purple leaves would be cool too.
